IDEAS TO LIFE Kymone Hinds, Life Coach| ideastolife.me
WHAT IS IDEAS TO LIFE? “YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAN YOU REALIZE.” - ELASTIGIRL. That quote has fueled Kymone Hinds, in his quest to help people discover the value of the creativity inside of them. In his role as a minister and youth worker, he saw first hand the extraordinary gifts and talents of ordinary people and the potential they had to make a difference. At the same time, too many people were not seeing the value in their own abilities. Kymone set out to help people through telling inspiring stories to bring their Ideas to Life. A weekly podcast was launched in 2016 and relaunched in 2018 for that purpose. From that beginning, Ideas to Life has grown into a coaching and consulting business and now an online community. The goal is to help people to take action on things they’ve always wanted to do - write a book, start a business, create a content channel, or even start a service organization. We believe it is never too late or never too early to start taking action on your dreams. Join this movement of people just like you who are changing their lives and the world by bringing their Ideas to Life. THE COMMUNITY Do you get stuck sometimes? Do you need some support, accountability, or guidance to bring your Ideas to Life? In this community we push and motivate each other to success. Join the Ideas to Life Community to receive training, time-saving tools and templates, group coaching and insider access to people who are doing what you aspire to. Revolution: a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something.

any can relate that 2020 is off to a rocky
start. Covid-19 is changing the world as we know it. With each new year comes new resolutions, right? For me it has always been a very “run-away bride” sort of break up with a passing year. My face bright bursting with excitement of all that is to comes with this brand-new year. With resolutions in hand, gown, crown, and vail on tight, I would race towards the new year not looking back! (Genesis 19:26) The gown being all the wonderful things I want to carry into the next year, the crown being the growth and wisdom I have acquired, and the vail is the guarding of the heart to not make the same mistakes she did the year before (that darn heart lol). (Proverbs 4:23) So, we race, and race and now we’re nearing the fourth month of 2020. Never losing the rest of the 20 pounds or finishing the book or launching that business? Just starting new businesses, new diets, and new books while the unfinished old ones linger in the background…and wait? Does that sound sane? Beneficial or progressive? Not to me. I am deciding to not be a run-away bride during this uncertain time. I would like to tchallenge you not to run either. While we have extra time to reflect, don’t ignore old unfinished mountains you are still climbing. Instead we will kick people, habits, ideas, mentalities out and anything else out of the wedding (being our individual lives) that don’t belong or don’t suit our greater purpose. Unlike the past, we will keep the things we know we still need to finish or face, not forgetting to add them to our new list of resolutions. With flaws and all, we will take vows to live and be all that God will allow. We will get married (to purpose that is) and finish the race, not run a new one every 365 days. 10 SPRING 2020 BACK2BASICSMAG.COM
So, continue to work on the purpose God placed in you until its completed because He will be with you until its completion. (Philippians 1:6) During this quarantine we will grow. We may even fall, but be encouraged it is only to rise again. (Proverbs 24:16). ‘Till physical death do us part, we will accomplish our purpose and that means finishing the work God started in us, so we may continue on to greater works. Oh, and last thing: do not get hung up on your past…I repeat for the fellas in the back *grabs megaphone* DO NOT GET HUNG UP ON YOUR PAST!
The past doesn’t matter when your point is reaching purpose- Adler’s psychology We must be honest with ourselves and only take what we must finish forward. No girl, Jerome can’t come *inserts eye roll*. Kidding. Well, not kidding, because he can’t, and neither can those old ways of thinking and old ways of being! For you, it may be relationships or realities that are no longer fruitful. All that remains for closure and new realties is for us to accept that those old realties have changed or no longer exist and move on. For another person, it may be ways they used to communicate or behave that no longer serve them. Whatever it is for us individuals (Proverbs 139:23-24), we must decide to LET GO and relearn.
It is imperative to our destiny that we welcome change with open arms and open hearts. Ultimately, it’s about taking time and using wisdom. Only take what you must (that goes for toilet paper as well). Only take what will assist you in reaching your purpose. Take friends who support you, finish businesses that you have saved for and done the research on. A business that you have prayed on and heard the answer about, not just childhood dreams that you are distracted with. You know the ones that God never told us to pursue yet we want Him to bless, yeah those must stay in the past. Nevertheless, once we have taken our unfinished projects, promises and processes we MUST finish them. Eventually, if we let go of what we should, pick up what we are guided to along the way, and continue to hang on very tightly to what is necessary for the journey; we will reach our purpose in life. May we finish the unfinished so we can start the unknown and become someone greater than we could have ever imagined! - M.O. BACK2BASICSMAG.COM SPRING 2020 11

ith all of the things happening in the world around coronavirus, I wanted to send you a quick message about fear...
Fear is a virus, but I'm here to remind you that the Word of God is the antidote to fear and anxiety. Stay informed and wash your hands, but also remember to stay focused on God's promises! Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." The Word says do not be anxious, and share your requests with God. As we pray and thank Him, God's peace will fill our hearts and minds. Right now breathe in the faith, and breathe out the fear. Share your requests with God. Also, if you're quarantined or staying home from work, use this time to be productive. Prepare for your dream! Write your book Work on your business plan Apply to that university Revise your resume What's your dream? Stay strong, wash your hands, and remember... YOU ARE LOVED!

t isn’t the subject of too many love songs or romantic comedies. But with the COVID-19 causing coronavirus pandemic, “social distancing” is becoming the new norm.
Social distancing is a public health strategy attempting to prevent or slow the spread of an infectious pathogen like a virus. It includes any method to keep people physically separate from each other because physical proximity is how many pathogens go from one body to another. This includes isolating people who are infected, quarantining people who may have been infected, and keeping people separate from each other in general. For good reason, the coronavirus pandemic is socially distancing us, but public officials must be careful that it doesn’t disenfranchise us, too. It’s smart for government bodies to postpone or cancel public meetings. It’s unimaginable to think that someone might get critically ill at the local zoning board because someone else was allowed to bark about their neighbor’s nonconforming fence. However, the official response to many higher-profile, decision-making opportunities has been less than stellar. 14 SPRING 2020 BACK2BASICSMAG.COM

5 17 Challenge How do you pray in a pandemic? Nirup Alphonse, Pastor, Lifegate Church
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 If we are honest, praying in times that are difficult does not come easy to us. Yet, God’s Word reminds us to “rejoice, pray and give thanks” in all seasons. In this message Pastor Nirup encourages us how to pray during a pandemic with the “frequency and intimacy of heaven.” One of the reasons we are often reserved in praying is because we have an internal fear that Gods wants something from us. The truth is - God wants something FOR US! Challenge - set your alarm for 5:17 twice a day and when your alarm goes off take a moment to pray,
“God show me what you have for me.”
