RESEARCH ON DESIGN ELEMENTS
FORM: Shape is a term that is formed as a result of the relations of line, color and other surface elements with each other, allows us to examine objects in three dimensions by defining volume and mass, and deals with shapes with their placements relative to each other.
COLOR: Color is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called red, blue, yellow, etc. Color derives from the spectrum of light interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors TEXTURE: exture is a special quality that has a three-dimensional structure, gives information about both the external structure and the internal structure of the object, has an infinite variety, and manifests itself with the play of shadow and light on the surface and material properties. Texture shows us the roughness of the surface of a continuous pattern or any 3D feeling.
PATTERN: The pattern is the way one approaches the form. In the simple pattern, that is, in the two-dimensional pattern, it is shown with light and shadow, line and contour. In the advanced, that is, three-dimensional pattern, the form gains volume and is designed in this way. LİNE: The line, which we perceive as two dimensions, gains volume with the 3D design. Along with its psychological effect, the linear touches used in the design give the objects direction and continuity effect according to the direction and changes in which they are used.
RESEARCH ON DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Design principles Design principles and elements are considered building blocks to create a visual work of art. CONTRAST EMPHASISES OF DIFFERENT ELEMENTS OF DESIGN AND/OR MAKES THE COMBINATION BETWEEN THESE ELEMENTS. EMPHASIS IN A DESIGN IT MAKES FOCAL POINT. WE TAKES ATTENTIONS WHERE WE ACTUALLY WANT WITH THIS PRINCIPLE. PROPORTION PROPORTION IS THE VISUAL SIZE AND WEIGHT OF ELEMENTS IN A COMPOSITION AND HOW THEY RELATE TO EACH OTHER. BALANCE PLACE THE PIECES ESTHETICALLY WHICH CONSTITUTE TO DESIGN. THESE PIECES CAN BE SYMMETRICAL OR ASYMMETRIC BUT THEY HAVE TO INCLUDE BALANCE
Figure-Ground Indicates to people's vision about seeing objects on front side or back side.
RESEARCH ON GESTALT LAWS
Similarity Making groups that have similar objects, shapes.
Continuity objects that have a continuity seems us related than that don't have. Closure Filling the spaces abstractly and creating a known shape, object or creature.
Proximity Things that are near each other seems us related than far ones.
Common Region Shows us that we sense objects being group with each other when the objects are in the same closed area.
Focal Point Indicates, every visually featured object is catching people's attention first.
RESEARCH ON COLOUR and TEXTURE
Texture in the painting indicates look and the sense what it gives us of the canvas. It depends on the painting and application or the addition of materials like ribbon, metal, wood, lace, leather, and sand. Texture stimulates two senses; sight and touch. There are five types of texture in art: Actual, Simulated, Abstract, Invented, and Needle Texture.
Actual Texture
Simulated Texture
Abstract Texture
The simulated texture is the illusion of an actual texture. Simulated texture is creating texture visual effect without including texture.
The abstract texture doesn't represent the object that is connected, but the object's concept is transformed into textural patterns.
ACTUAL TEXTURE IS A COMBINATION OF HOW THE PAINTING LOOKS, AND HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOU TOUCH IT. YOU ACTUALLY CAN TOUCH AND FEEL THE TEXTURE.
Color Color what we see because of reflected light.
Color Relations Colors diametrically opposite on the color wheel are Complementary Colors in Nature.

PERSPECTIVE OF SKETCHUP MODEL
ANALYSIS OF THE KIOSK DESIGN
As you can see it is elevated. It is because of pilotis principle and the reason I used the elevated ground. I took the Game Area boxes as red boxes and elevated them too. I took Wood texture from my mid term project as texture and gave it a Cube shape.
I mostly effected from this project while I am using the elements that I took from my mid term project I just want make different thing and I made them angle.
ANALYSIS OF THE KIOSK DESIGN
Placing boxes angle opinion came my mind with this project and as you can see there is a closure in green circle and I used this in my projects roof part too. For reservation part I used angle shape too effecting by this example but there is a at back side of reservation part because of that I closed with angle shapes around this part.

Integrity Integrity is that each piece gains a holistic meaning, not one by one. The first condition of ensuring integrity is to realize that all the elements in the design are related. The principle of integrity enables the viewer to perceive and make sense of the design in unity. Emphasis Emphasis creates a focal point in a design and highlights the desired element, and determines where the viewer's attention is directed. Emphasis can be achieved with direction, shape, texture, size, color, tone or line contrast. Visual Continuity
Proportion and Visual Hierarchy One of the important elements that play a role for the designer in the realization of a design is undoubtedly the proportional relations between dimensions.
RESEARCH ON GESTALT LAWS
Visual Detection Perception can be thought of as the process of acquiring environmental information to meet an organism's needs. Similarity Those with similar characteristics tend to form visual groups. This similarity; It can have features such as color, shape, shading. Proximity Elements that are close to each other tend to form visual groups. Continuity Similarly, elements moving in a particular direction tend to group together. Closed Forms Lines that complete a surface show the feature of being a unit, that is, the human mind perceives the shapes it sees as objects and letters that it has learned beforehand. Shape - Ground Relationship The object that the attention is focused on is the shape, the other surfaces are the ground, and the shape and ground change according to the point where the attention is focused.
RESEARCH ON COLOUR and TEXTURE
COLOUR: Color is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called red, blue, yellow, etc. Color derives from the spectrum of light interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors. Color categories and phsical specifications of color are also associated with objects or materials based on their physical properties such as light absorption reflection or emission spectra.By defining a color space colors can be identified numerically by their coordinates. TEXTURE: The surface quality of an object that can be perceived by sight and touch is called texture. Objects are the surface properties of furniture and architectural planes. Texture rough or smooth, glossy or opaque, hard or soft, sparse or tightly porous. the floor of a place when covered (upholstered) with ceramic, wood or carpet depending on the texture used feature may change. To see the texture in many examples in the world we live in. shells etc. in our clothes such as velvet, fabric, linen, spaces walls, window glass, plastered surfaces, painted surfaces, ceramics, marble, wood coated surfaces etc. we can see a very large collection of tissues.

FLOWER / Cafe KIOSK
Users : All age groups including teenagers , adults and elderlies who are interested in flowers and want to drink coffee . People need to see the flowers ,plants to choose how to be decorated . In this kiosk , I would provide opportunity for user to participate in decorating part called as workshop .
SCENARIO
In this kiosk , I also added an additional cafe to the florist section , which is the main section of this kiosk ,so that people can sit and do activities when they come .
I placed a table with the entrance element in workshop area , giving people the opportunity to design their own style flowers .
Thanks to the exhibition area in the main part of the kiosk , people entering from both entrances will be able to browse and purchase flowers and designs
CAFE KIOSK SCENARIO
When people enter from the entrance section , they will be greeted with two separate sections . The cafe section is separated by vertical glass elements , so that people can do activities with flowers .
With boxes I made a workshop area and I also used red boxes for special flowers and gray toned boxes for tall flowers .
Those purchased from the main section or the cafe can be paid from the cash register , which is the common point .
With this black element ı set the entrance and also I made a table for my workshop area so when people come to this area they can desıgn their flowers and write notes on the table .

PERSPECTIVE OF SKETCHUP MODEL
ANALYSIS OF THE KIOSK DESIGN
I divided the kiosk model into two parts , the k part is coffee , the 2 k part is flower exhibiton and sale , and I also expanded my exhibiton by separating these two parts with two vertical glass boxes .
I created an exhibition space by designing a vertical glass exhibition . I inspired this design from the first picture and created a more dominant and long vertical exhibiton area .
IMAGE/ SKETCH
Second of all , I divided the kiosk into 2 parts and ı designed k part is depressed place because my main part is the big part. I set the entrance of my kiosk with these continuousblack elements . While you can enter the main kiosk area and coffee service area section on both sides from the entrance with the big black element , the entrance starts with the exhibition from the section with the small element .
