Badieh Hassanpour

I am an architect interested, an educator and scholar. I was born in Babol-Iran in 1983. I am currently an Associate Professor of Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU). I have a Master and PHD in Architecture (in the field of Architectural education) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Department of Architecture. My specific areas of expertise are focused around spatial design education; future responsive andragogy, course and curriculum development; accreditation and substantial equivalencies; ecological and low impact design approaches and models. I have given lectures related to the interplay between human beings and environment, design and technology, sustainable development theories & approaches as well as architecture and urban design studios and interdisciplinary workshops for more than 10 years. Course development toward inclusive learning experience for the course “Introduction to design technology”, zero budget design and built projects, virtual design studio for First year architecture students are significant activities I initiated and accomplished in very recent period time. Besides my academic activities being Director of M.Arch program, advisory board member for online education during COVID 19 pandemic for Faculty of Architecture and elected member for Faculty Council (for 2 period of one year) are central administrative roles I played between 2019 to present. I have several publications around my area of expertise published and indexed by Arts and Humanities Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index, supervised many Master and PhD students achieved their degree between 2013 to 2022. I am member of Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and Editorial board of Journal of Engineering sciences and technologies.
