Spring time activities Spring is the first `warm season` after winter this is the season of blossoming and the time when the nature becomes alive again. You can see way more colors in spring than in winter. The street is full of green by the trees, and red, orange, violet or any kinds of vibrating color by the flowers. Some tips to do in this beautiful season: 1.Picnic If the weather is not too warm, but it’s perfect to go out with your friends or with your family, you can go to a park or anywhere for a picnic. You just need to make some food, grab some snacks and you’re ready to go to have fun outside! 2.Sport Sport is very important and every season is perfect to do it. When the weather is sunny you can go out, and do any kinds of sport. For example, yoga or running. Running is way better outside in the fresh air than in the gym. While you run, you can easily think about your day, or relax a little bit. 3.No telephone Mobile is one of the most popular objects we use in our free time. On the tram, at home, at work, you can use it anywhere, and some people even use it outside. It’s good because at least you’re outside, but if the weather is good, the sun is shining, you need to put down your phone, go outside, and spend time with your friends. Your phone will wait for you ! It will be better than talking with them online. 4.Find a hobby As I have said, spring is the season of a new beginning. You can always start a new hobby. Some ideas:    

drawing or painting start a new musical instrument start a new sport start cooking or baking

5.Hiking Hiking is just like a sport, but I think it’s more relaxing and you are not going to be that tired afterwards. Hiking is perfect alone, with your friends, or with your family. It’s good in almost every season But spring is the perfect season for hiking, when it`s not too warm and not too cold. You can go to a forest or it’s even good to just go in the street or in a park. The entrance exam

Today the 8th grader’s biggest problem is the scary entrance exam. People say, that oh my god, if you fail, you can’t have a good job. Really? I will tell you the truth. If you believe these words, they will come true. It’s only about 4 years (in some case 5). When you start practicing in 7th grade, you don’t really care about it. And near the 8th grade, day by day you can feel the pressure around you. You hire a private teacher, you study more and more, you will be nervous about your scores at the test, your parents start to search for good high schools... Don’t worry! It’s absolutely normal. What you need to do, is trying to calm down and face this. Think about all the 8th graders who have already gone through this. Everyone did it before. And they are still alive. Weeks before the exam. You already know what school you want to go to, and your parents, teacher expect you to get into the best schools. That’s how you feel, right? Start to relax every day a bit, and don’t stress that much. Of course, a little stress is useful, but you know a lot can make things even worse. The day of the exam. Now you can’t help about your fears. „What if they ask questions you haven’t studied for? What if I think I was good but, I wasn`t?” Stop! That doesn’t make you feel calm, right? First, if you don’t know the answer, skip, and don’t think about it a lot. Second, then what? Your life doesn’t depend on this. And I bet, that you are really smart. By the way, 2 or 3 hours after the exam you can check your answers, and even if it was bad, you can search for plus points.

Don’t worry, you will be good! Good luck for you, 7th graders!

Events from April

We had just come back from the big break, and it was already April! Unbelievable. From the 9th to 13th, we collected as much paper as possible, to save the environment. However, the following three days were more exciting for some people, especially for the 5th, 6th and 7th classes. They went through their yearly exams, with success. On Sunday, a running competition known as Vivicitta was organized, for those who like running and sports. A week later, School-day took place, and we worked a lot together on the buildings and the school yard nicer. thanks for everyone. On the 24th, you could once again do a presentation about your favorite topic on TehetsĂŠgnap ( or Talentday, I tried my best to translate it accurately ). You were extremely creative! A week later we had two extra days as a break besides weekend, so we could relax for the rest of the academic year.

School decision(s) Choosing a high school may be the biggest decision for a teen. The main question is: How to choose the best school (for you)?

1.: Distance. For A teenager using public transport instead of "mom/dad's taxi" is almost compulsory. Closer school, shorter way! 2.: ’Outfit’. Not that important, but the ’outfit’ of a school can show you, how it works inside. 3.: Classes. Are you the best at Maths? Or do you want to work as a journalist? If you have (big) plans, you should go to a school specializing in these fields. 4.: Popularity. Is the school well-known? More popular, more good news. (Also, not the most important, but interesting advice)

What if you fail the exam? Just don't panic. Do you know, how many schools are there(just) in Budapest? 'couse I don't even know... It's a lot! You will find your best school, I promise.

Mine is Leövey Klára Gimnázium, History class. I love History, It's close, and it looks nice. That simple! By Benedek

About my school

I came here when I was 6 years old. In 8 years, I have learned a lot. At the junior section in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade we were so scared of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade. We have studied a lot and became a family in our class. We got a lot of experiences, but not only about studying. We went to programs with the school or only with the class. We went to camps, and school trips too, where we had a lot of fun being together. It’s also important to talk about our education we got while we were studying here. Everyone was/is so helpful, and kind to us, so we could easily get prepared for our entrance exam. The teachers were forgiving if we made mistakes, and whenever we thought that they gave a lot of homework, or made us write a lot of tests, after a little bit of time we realized that these things helped us a lot. We had ‘little’ exams in the school, which were good, to experience how it is feels to get prepared by learning the topics by ourselves. Thank You Újalma! By Nadin

About my school This school helped me a lot. For example let’s start with the entrance exam. We had Maths preparatory lesson every Monday and Hungarian lessons every Wednesday. It helped me a lot, because without these lessons I could not have written the test on the 20th of January. Then this school and the teachers taught me and us a lot. And this is really good, because I know so many things that I could not have learnt in another school. I’m so grateful to every single teacher because of this. Now, let’s jump to the programs, this school organized for us. Well, we had a project week every year and this was really good and interesting, so I think everyone enjoyed it. Than we had this so called,, Majális” which is one of my favourite programs, cause I could relax and eat as much as I wanted. And while I was eating I could listen the choir’s nice voice or the school’s music band, and I really liked it. My next favourite program was the ’novice camp’. So, all in all the school gave me a lot of experience and knowledge. Thank you By Anna
