feeling of being part of a new international and multicultural “group”.

We met our collegues and headteachers from Hungary, Romania and Turkey for the first time and shared our ideas and feelings about this new long and meaningful experience for us all.

During the days, we could visit the school, the Erasmus corner and share information about our different educational systems. The Hungarian headmaster and the teachers organized enjoyable dinners and lunches giving us the opportunity to taste typical local food and drinks. During the meeting, we planned the project programme, the page on Facebook in order to get easily in touch, to share ideas, documents, photos, videos. Although it was part of the project, it soon became a way to create a new and friendly relationship, which gave everybody the

They also made us visit the old Hungarian Capital (Székesfehervar – the kings’ town) and we had a panoramic view of the Gardony lake. Although very short in time, the meeting was useful and successfull.

APRIL 2015

“Different Cultures On The Same Stage” Rome: 12/17 April 2015 The second meeting of the Erasmus Plus Project “Different Cultures on Different Stage” took place in Rome from April 12th to April 19th, in the Liceo Immanuel Kant.

programs and activities, and also planned future objectives, journeys, deadlines and meetings.

Teachers from Turkey, Romania and Hungary met Italian teachers and students taking part in the project and other school teachers and students. As we all know, the Project’s aim is to improve knowledge of the different countries and cultures, sharing experience, respecting and evaluating the differences, considered as part of a common and basilar cultural community.

The students prepared also a Rome tourist brochure giving information about the main historical places and monuments that would be visited by the group. The students illustrated also some typical food and specialities and gave each teacher a personal leaflet containing all documents useful for their visit in Rome. As a consequence, the Italian meeting focused on different activities. First of all the organization meetings in which teachers and headmasters analysed different past

Then, the Italian students, who had been working in groups all over the previous two months, presented their own works – researches, photos, tourist maps, phrasal book – offering a rich and creative selection on Italian writers, whose narrative production was characterized by the Project topic “appearance”, like, for example, Luigi Pirandello.

During the meeting, Turkish, Romanian end Hungarian teachers showed videos and offered a selection of documents in order to inform everybody about their own school progressive activity.

The days after all the group visited the town, guided by Italian students, who, speaking a very good English, helped them and illustrated the most important monuments, churches

and squares, from the Colosseum to the Imperial Forum, from Saint Peter’s Church to the Capitolium, from the Palatine Hill to the Vatican Museums. Last but not least, we have been enjoying many amusing and relaxing moments, having dinner together and chatting friendly while touring the city by night.

As a consequence, old friendship got stronger and new friendship were born in the common idea that the awareness of our rights and the dignity of our culture is useless without the sweetness of human relationships.

MAY 2015

All the teachers staff and the students have been working together to choose photos, documents and images to be published on the video monitor. It has been a hard work as we had lots of interesting material to show! But….. the main question was: What should be the best place for the monitor in our school ? After a long, long discussion we made our decision!! Into our school hall! A video of the project, including Facebook and the Internet links, was spread all the day long! Every student, or teacher or students’ parents coming to school could watch the screen and that gave us the opportunity to make everybody know about our work! Wasn’t that our main aim ?

JUNE 2015

The last school month means final tests and final exams, both for students and for teachers!

The group meets for the last time and we discuss about the new deadlines to be realized in September soon after the summer holidays. Students will write stories of tolerance which will be selected in a school contest. The meeting ends with a farewell coffee break (or ice-cream break) with students. We decide to share our documents and photos on our common on line platform. In this way, even during the summer, we will be in touch! And now bye bye! Enjoy your holidays and see you in September.

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2015 Here We Are Again! Prof. Cacciò and Prof.s Biagiola, Elia and Marcelli. Holidays are over and we start working again. New ideas, new steps, new deadlines. First of all, realizing the video based on the script written by students in Spring. Every student starts looking for the best places and setting where to record the video: Villa De Santis, the beautiful park in front of the school and some teachers’ houses and kitchens. Selecting the best music frame and the film final cut is in charge of the students

The following reasons contributed to make this event outstanding both in terms of personal enrichment and in terms of an effective building up of cooperation, friendship and cultural exchanges. The project theme and the activities that the students carried out in each participating school resonate with the current international crisis that is particularly affecting European citizens. This project meeting in Turkey, for each participant was a a human and cultural challenge that elicited deep awareness and responsibility.

but under Mrs Caccio’ supervision.

Goksun Meeting! 11th-16th October 2015 A team of five participants represented our Institute to the second event of the project. The team was composed by the Principal prof. Infantino, the Erasmus project contact person

We had the privilege to meet managers, colleagues and students of a different school system. Of course, during the preparation of the project, the contact persons met, discussed and worked together. However, the personal visit to the school brought the experience to a completely

different level. In particular the meeting with the students and the school environment confirmed us that beyond the language, and cultural differences and beyond the different organizations and teaching styles all teachers share the same enthusiasm, the same interests and the same objective.

between past and present can be really experienced.

After the return to our school, the project meeting continued through the communication of our experience to colleagues and students. We had the opportunity to establish a contact with the lives of students and teachers at a rather deep level, well beyond the customary kindness reserved to a guest. We really shared life moments: the study and the work but also dining and singing together.

This project meeting gave us the chance to visit enchanting places rich of tradition and history. Turkey is at the crossroad between East and West, as a consequence, this land is a unique blend of cultures but with a dominant national character. During the meeting we were embedded in a landscape of colours, sounds, flavours unusual but even familiar. In this land the dialectic

The sharing of photographs supported by selected readings elicited a discussion that confirmed us that the dissemination of the experience is a real part of the project itself.

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2015 The Final Step: Organizing the story board and the Exhibition Once back in Rome, all teachers start meeting students again once a week, to select the best photos to create a permanent Project exhibition as a sort of pictorial narration of the main events and moments during the whole year.

Mr. Elia is in charge of the organization and he has a very original and colorful idea.

What do you think?

It’s Ok!
