A Defining Vision for London By EcoWorld and Ballymore

ECOWORLD AND BALLY MORE

EcoWorld and Ballymore are delighted to share the vision of creating some of London’s most exciting and innovative residential developments. Our joint venture represents a careful balance of investment in three of the most important waterside development projects in London’s future, both east and west: Embassy Gardens, London City Island and Wardian London. Individually, our companies have become highly regarded for the excellence and sensitivity of our developments. Together, we are creating spectacular new residential destinations with an unrivalled attention to detail. The imagination and expertise that our two companies contribute to each development combines to create one of the few portfolios in London with such vision and ambition.

London City Island is a new islandstyle neighbourhood on the Leamouth Peninsula by Canary Wharf. Devised to complement the neighbouring business district with a high-end, residential offering, London City Island benefits from proximity to a new wave of investment that will extend the vision of Canary Wharfstyle redevelopment as far east as Royal Docks.

The 12 acre site, surrounded by water and connected by a speciallycommissioned bridge, has views over the O2 centre and Canary Wharf, and is situated beside one of London’s most famous creative hubs. Its excellent transport links make it one of the best-connected such locations in London. More than just a place to live, it will be a destination for all Londoners with a vibrant, exciting offering that draws from both the business might of Canary Wharf and the cultural energy of other nearby parts of East London.

Overlooking one of London’s oldest quarters, a whole new district is growing. Embassy Gardens, at the heart of Nine Elms, the central London neighbourhood whose revitalisation, master-planned by Sir Terry Farrell, has been described by the Mayor of London as ‘possibly the most important regeneration story in London and in the UK over the next twenty years’. It is a neighbourhood with its own distinctive architectural style, the apartments stand in amongst landscaped public squares, parks and spectacular gardens. Amenities of the highest standard include the private Eg:le club with its own library and gym, as well as a spa, cinema, café and bar. With the relocation of both the US and Dutch embassies to this area, directly across the river from Pimlico, and the nearby regeneration of Battersea Power Station, Embassy Gardens is the centrepiece of the last great new district in the centre of London. It set record sales values during phase 1, and the second phase is set to deliver even further value growth.
