"BMSS Buzz" is a unique platform that creates an opportunity for medical students to present their skills of writing, researching, and publication management. But this year, I feel an overwhelming joy as this is the first printed issue of our cherished ‘BMSS Buzz'.
Also, this year, a theme-based approach was taken for this magazine. The theme “COVID is the new normal” definitely encouraged many people to share their accounts, and experiences during this COVID-19 diseased times. As a community, we have traversed a long and difficult way during these pandemic-infested years.
The true nature of medical life is hectic with a packed schedule of classes, wards, items, terms, and so on. This leaves little room for the exercise of literary works. But a student needs to keep in touch with these practices from the undergraduate level because this practice will prove to be fruitful in the future in case of publication in various prestigious medical journals and periodicals. Our publication, the ‘BMSS Buzz' serves this purpose successfully by giving the students from all spheres to reveal and r literary potential.
We are greatly thankful to all those individuals who shared their journey through this pandemic by writing various short stories, musings, and personal accounts of how this transition has impacted their lives or the lives of other people in various spheres. They also talked about how this theme relates to our lives as medical students. We received various essays analyzing the different issues about this crisis and the ways to mitigate them, marvelous posters, drawings, sketches, photography, or digital artworks related to the theme which have reflected the spectacular enigma and talent of the medicos.
on featuring our Standing Committees meticulously through related articles that show the summary of the SC activities executed so far and their impact. We truly hope these features will amazingly highlight the overall activities, goals, and inspirational achievements of the BMSS family.

The path to achieving the goal of publishing this magazine was not easy. It required us to go through a great number of extensive processes. But all of these tasks were eased by all of the promising responses that we received from the writers which were overwhelming and truly encouraging for us.

At the dawn, as the sun rises above the horizon, the aura of the glimmering sun diminishes the darkness bestowed upon the earth. Like that, as we gradually step foot into "the new normal" where COVID is an inevitable presence, the dark days we passed during the pandemic fade away slowly. Surely this period has taught us precious lessons, many of them in a hard way, of course. But these times have also given us more appreciation towards the value of our own lives and those of others.
This time, we have also included a separate segment for the LC-related stories to highlight the hard work of the local committees across the Wecountry.aim
This is the annual publication of the BMSS Bangladesh. This prestigious magazine exhibits a myriad of versatile activities of BMSS as well as writings and opinions from outstanding personalities.
Finally, as we proceed towards the publication of our magazine, a heartfelt thanks to everyone participating and working hard to bring the BMSS Buzz to life as a document.

In this new era of BMSS, we have decided to go theme-centric this time. For this edition, the theme for our magazine is "COVID is the new normal.” Under this theme, we have tried to explore different stories of the pandemic and how it has affected us in our personal, family, social and other spheres of our lives.
