IIB INTERNATIONAL YEAR ONE (IY1)
You can choose to study one of the following two routes: > Business, Management and Finance > Psychology
International Year One (IY1) stages of entry The IY1 is the first year of the 3-year IIB and is taught at BUIC. The IY1 is the equivalent to your first year of study at undergraduate level. Once you successfully complete this year, you will move straight to the second year of your degree study directly with Bangor University.

The International Year One (IY1) provides an intensive combination of first year university subjects modules with extra study and English language skills.
The IY1 is the first year of the 3-year International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) degree. Upon successful completion of the IY1, you will continue to the second year of your chosen degree at study at Bangor University.
COMMON MODULES FOR ALL IY1 PATHWAYS As well as modules unique to your specific pathway, you will study one module common to all pathways. This module is:
English for University Learning In this module you will receive training in academic writing, reading for study in higher education, listening in the higher education environment, speaking and listening in seminars, and university study skills. You’ll improve your ability to communicate and participate in an academic environment using the English language, and transfer your English language knowledge and skills to support learning across a range of subjects in business, finance, economics and Psychology.
COURSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS IY1 IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 +6 week PSE IELTS 5.0 with no less than 4.5 +12 week PSE IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0
