About Brave Me Brave Me is a 6 week resilience-based program that supports children aged 8-12 years old who have experienced adversity, including, but not limited to: • • • • • •
bullying abuse domestic and family violence separation from family death of a loved one parental separation
Brave Me uses a range of creative interventions and activities with the aim to facilitate communication, self-expression, and reflection for children without retraumatising and relying on talk therapy
Brave Me offers children the opportunity to: • Develop strategies to emotionally self-regulate. • Create a resource listing their safe people and services. • Be able to name behaviours of safe, healthy relationships. • Identify personal strengths. • Develop increased self-esteem and confidence.

When 1.5 hours a week for 6 weeks during school terms There will be a parent interview and assessment as well as a meet and greet interview with the child
