BaptistCare’s purpose was originally articulated in 1944 as ‘Expressing the love of Jesus to those in need’. Today, as the organisation shifts its focus towards more transformational outcomes, its purpose is communicated as ‘Transforming lives by expressing the love of Christ.’ This book provides an overview of how, during the past seventy-five years, the BaptistCare community has sought to remain true to its purpose. While honouring the countless supporters who have contributed to the organisation, BaptistCare’s history is told here through seventy-five stories of men, women and events that have shaped its culture and growth.
