Thursday, Dec. 11 Improving the Health Status of Your Community University Club, Grand Ballroom 1301 Riverplace Blvd., 27th floor, Jacksonville Audrey Moran, Baptist Health senior vice president of Social Responsibility and Community Advocacy, will be part of this panel discussion presented by the American College of Healthcare Executives – North Florida Chapter. One ACHE face-to-face education credit is available for those who attend. Cost is $50 for ACHE and HFMA members, $60 for nonmembers, and $35 for students. Fee includes dinner. See your little cub on the big screen The Jaguars Cub Club invites you to share a photo of your child to be displayed on the Jacksonville Jaguars video monitor during their Dec. 7 game against the Houston Texans. It’s part of an event for Jaguars Cub Club members that also includes pre-game festivities and a parade on the sidelines to kick off the game. While the pre-game festivities and parade are only for Cub Club members, anyone can submit photos to be displayed on the video monitors by sending them via social media to #JaguarsCubClub. The Jaguars Cub Club, sponsored by Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital, is for Jaguars fans, from birth to age 3. Membership includes a special edition Jaguars Cub Club onesie or T-shirt, a blanket and drawstring bag, a welcome letter from Coach Gus Bradley, and invitations to events like this. Membership is free to all babies born at any Baptist Health hospital or those cared for at the Wolfson Children’s Hospital NICU on or after Jan. 1, 2014. Benefit eligibility: important dependent audit information Baptist Health wants to ensure our health plans are in compliance with the IRS, and we take our dependent audit seriously. Whether you are a current health plan participant or a new team member participating for the first time, you will be asked to provide proof of any new dependents added to the medical plan for 2015. Dependents who were enrolled and audited in 2014 will not be audited again for 2015. If you added any new dependents to the medical plan during Open Enrollment, please be on the lookout for important audit information that will be mailed to your home address in early 2015. You will be required to provide proof of eligibility for any new dependents in order for them to be covered on the medical plan.

Keep your stress at a healthy level during the holidays Baptist Health team members and their friends are invited to a Good for You Gathering in December to learn how to keep stress at a healthy level and enjoy Good for You is a the holidays. Kym Dunton, RN, health and wellness Women’s Health coordinator community created at Baptist Health, will lead “All for women by Stressed Up and Nowhere to Go.” Baptist Health. These free, interactive sessions will help you identify sources of stress and learn techniques to build mental, emotional and physical resilience. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then video must be priceless BlueTube is our internal channel for videos made for and by our team members and is available on the intranet homepage. The current series of videos are short vignettes that introduce the Magnet™ designation and Baptist Health culture. Videos can be shown in team meetings or viewed solo for a moment of self-care and inspiration. Similar themes are listed as Related Videos, which you can view even when they aren’t the featured video on the homepage . Tips for viewing: Be considerate and use headphones in patient areas and close office spaces. Videos are only visible from Baptist Health computers and via the VPN (virtual private network). The computer you use must have a video player (Adobe Flash). If you experience problems viewing a video, contact the IS Department Service Desk at 904.202.7565.

Physician Integration Walk with a Doc in Mandarin Baptist Primary Care Mandarin South invites you to walk with James Moore, MD, on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 9 am. Children’s Christmas Party Children and grandchildren (age 10 and younger) of Baptist Nassau team members are invited to the hospital’s annual Children’s Christmas Party on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 – 4 pm, in the Amelia Breeze Café. Santa will be there to take photos and hand out gifts, and Baptist Nassau’s own Pharmagician Steve Bean will perform, amaze and entertain. Festivities will also include games and crafts.

Baptist Beaches Beaches Winter Lights Festival Baptist Beaches is sponsoring a chair at the Beaches Winter Lights Festival at the Sea Walk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach. The lighting ceremony will take place Sunday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 pm. The festival, which takes place every weekend in December, will offer holiday treats and hot cocoa for visitors. It is free for all ages and is a great family event.

Wolfson Children’s Hospital Registration now open for Wolfson Children’s Challenge The Wolfson Children’s Challenge is set for Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, and registration is now open. You can participate in the 55-km Ultra Marathon, 55-km Ultra Relay, 30-km individual run or take part in the 1-mile fun run. Some of the exciting changes to this year’s event are: n 55-km race instead of 55 miles to appeal to all runners Staggered race start times to create a more synchronized race finish n Addition of a 30-km individual run n Improved team fundraising website.
