Methodology The BWA Baptist Vulnerability Index is a global reflection based upon a unique scoring metric. It intersects annually updated BWA membership data with other global indexes and BWA regional leadership input: (1) Hunger and the Global Hunger Index; (2) Livelihood (measuring life expectancy, education and income) and the United Nations Human Development Index; (3) Violent Conflict and War and the Global Peace Index; (4) Religious Freedom Challenges (measuring both government restrictions on religion and social violence based on religion) and Pew Forum Research; and (5) BWA Regional Leadership Input on the degree to which Baptists directly experience these challenges. All 126 countries and territories home to a BWA Member Body are scored from 0 (least vulnerable) to 10 (most vulnerable).
