We would like to invite you and your family to one of the special events in Georgia, the 16th Annual Cattlemen’s Choice sale. It is hard to believe that 16 years have gone by, just think of all the genetics that have come out the Cattlemen’s Choice sale and how those genetics have benefited the Simmental breed. The sale will once again be held at Britt Angus and SimAngus™. Stacey, along with his manager Korey Duke welcome everyone to this sale facility. We appreciate Stacey’s hospitality. If you have not been to this sale please add this to your bucket list, come and view the offering.
This year at the past highly competitive state show the top three heifers were bred by C&C. Many of the sale participants had cattle in that show that did well. Congrats to all breeders and juniors involved in this event. The last 10 years, the Simmental show has been the strongest at the state show in Perry. As you can tell by the cover and all the news sent out by Donna Priest, Georgia secretary, the Simmental breed and the enthusiasm is strong among the membership .The Cattlemen’s Choice has a great set of consistent cattle in each division; purebred and percentage. This year there are several pairs with the ability to make the customer money. As always, the opens are impressive with loads of potential in the purebred and SimAngus™ division. Georgia juniors have done well in the past fourteen years with their purchases and this year should be no different. If you are a Georgia junior don’t over look the prospects here. Also, you have opportunity to select from the national top genetics from flushes, embryo’s and pregnancies. The fall opens are ready to go to the Eastern Regional’s in Tennessee or the Junior Nationals in Iowa so come and make your selections. Of course make note of the impact of some of the young sires of the C&C program, bulls such as Vision, Ignition and the new young sire 20/20. Vision and Ignition are having progeny hitting the ground and attracting attention. All of the Cattlemen’s Choice breeders are excited about the future of the Simmental breed and their respective programs. Please call any of the breeders involved if you have any questions. If J Drew, Holli, or myself can be of assistance please feel free to call sale week. If you haven’t been to this sale in the past this one is one to put on your calendar. See you in Hartwell at the Britt sale facility. The hospitality is always over the top in Georgia.

• Here is a super nice bred heifer with an elite pedigree. Going back to the great Queen Sazerac and sired by WS Pilgrim. Just try to find semen on Pilgrim, let alone a bred daughter of this quality. Quality is a great word to describe this one. Bred to the exciting Hooks Broadway bull for an early calf. This female is a money maker. • This young lady has been a standout since birth, and hasn’t slowed down. The internal dimension, along with her long elegant neck, large foot shape, and perfect structure, has us thinking that she could see quite a few backdrops. A maternal sib by TWCC Trendsetter sold in this sale a few years back and went on to be a North American, Denver, and Sweepstakes champion. At 9 years old Sazerac T43 is still a stout power house female, and as you can see, she stamps her progeny with the same attributes. • consignor: C&C Farms

• When we bought into Ignition, we knew automatically that we would be flushing him to one of our top percentage donors, Sazerac T43. The outcome has been fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the features that Destiny brings to the table. This September female is strait in her lines, stout, and has a nice show ring look. The ignition calves are stout, fancy, and functional, and that is exactly what Destiny is. • consignor: C&C Farms

• The Jestress 9015 cow has rapidly becoming a star in the C&C donor battery. In the 2015 Cattlemans Choice sale, a full sib mating to Jestress Z263 brought 15,500, and then her natural calf went on to be a sale feature at the 2015 NAILE Simmental sale bringing $10,000. On the show road a Broker being shown by Cindy Cooper, and a Combustible being shown by Morgan McDaniel dominated the Percentage Simmental show in Georgia at many shows they attended. Needless to say the consistency in the pedigree is there. Z263 has the broody cow look, and structure to walk miles and miles. Not to mention from her shoulder up though her neck is flawless. • Selling 3 embryos guaranteeing 1 pregnancy choice of Ignition or Combustible if work is done by a certified embryologist. • Jestress 9015 could be one of the best investments that we have ever made at C&C Farms. There is true quality in this Lookout daughter’s progeny. Complete, Fancy, Functional, with a show ring look is what you will see when these calves hit the ground. FBF1 Combustible is well known for adding bone, and a FBF1 Combustible - reference dam near perfect neck to his progeny. Morgan McDaniel showed a full sib heifer to the Combustible embryos all the way to Supreme Champion Female honors at the 2016 Georgia Junior National Livestock Show. The FBF1 Ignition calves are about to start hitting the sale rings and we are extremely impressed with the squishy foot, stoutness and unique look he is putting into his calves. You make the decision on sale day, but just as an added note, every time we have put in different matings out of 9015 they always have risen to the top of the calf crops • consignor: C&C Farms

• I have really liked this heifer from day one. She is one of the easiest going heifers I have ever been around and she can convert grass to pounds better than most any female of any breed I have seen. As breeders we always search for those special ones. I think B123 falls into this category. She is moderate in her frame, bold in her rib shape and smooth in her shoulder. She is safe to Hooks Broadway and needs to enter someone’s donor pen after she calves. Make sure you check her out sale day..she won’t be hard to find. • Bred AI to Hooks Broadway, ASA# 2854437 on 11/21/15 • consignor: Pickerel Farms

• We couldn’t ask for any more out of a first calf heifer than what America has brought to the table. She is a complete made individual with nice spring of rib, perfect neck and shoulder, and sets her feet down with a nice soft pastern. The udder quality that America has, makes us thinks this young cow will be in production for years to come. Not to mention that the Duracell progeny are some of the most productive females in the breed. You really can’t go wrong with adding females like B153 and natural baldy heifer calf at side to your program.
