ILLINOIS BEEF EXPO

multi breed female sale Illinois

FEBRUARY I 21 I 2025

12:00 PM I FRIDAY

Welcome Cattle Enthusiasts!

CATTLE ENTHUSIASTS!

It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the 3rd Annual Multi Breed Female Sale at the 2025 Illinois Beef Expo! The first two years of this sale have been extremely successful and loaded with quality. That being said, as you study this year’s offering, I think you’ll agree with us that this is the most diverse and deepest set to date! We are extremely pleased with the quality that consignors have brought forth for your appraisal and we are 100% confident that no matter what you are in the market for, or whatever your goals may be, there are females in this sale that will surpass your expectations.

As in previous years, we look forward to working directly with Travis Meteer and the Performance Tested Bull Sale on Thursday and Kevin Mears with The Collection Sale on Saturday. We strongly believe teamwork amongst these sales, consignors, the IBA, and the IBE board is the key to success for all! A big thank you to the IBA and all their staff for their support and everything they have done to make all of these events possible.

Also, please join us in extending sincere gratitude to the sponsors advertised throughout this catalog AND the State Associations that have stepped up to the plate to support. My wife and I would like to personally thank Bellfower Feed Mill, Keller Vet Services, Bergman Farm Supply, Sullivan Auctioneers/Big Iron Auctions, Moss Rock Ranch, Seed Max, the IL Simmental Association, the IL Angus Association, the IL Shorthorn Association, and the IL Hereford Association. Without support from these businesses and the people that run them, this sale is not possible.

Make plans now to attend the sale Friday, February 21st at 12 p.m. in the Artisans Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Food and beverage will be available there starting at 11:30. If you cannot be in attendance, please contact any of the sale day contacts on the following page for their assistance at no cost to you. The sale will also be broadcast for viewing and bidding on CCiLive.tv and videos of all lots selling can be found there as well. This offering of females will be stalled and available for viewing all day Thursday and Friday until the sale in barn 25N. Please reach out to any of the consignors, sale staff, or Haefner Marketing if we can be of assistance in any way. Thank you for taking the time to look, hope you enjoy!

If you’re familiar with the HTF genetics, you sure know about Top Line CCC Pride 8215. Sired by King Pin, this June born angus is very genuine and true in her design with added performance and punch that you would expect out of this mating.

Tons of quality in the 1/2 blood coming from the heart of our program. M429’s pedigree needs no introduction, as her dam is a full sib to the immortal “Vanna” cow and her sire continues to produce purple banners all over the country. This heifer comes to you with a great set of running gear, added punch through out, and a puppy dog demeanor. Tons of upside on this one!

Full Sib in blood to the mother of Boyert’s high selling female this past fall! The dam of the Pays to Believe female is a full sister to Boyerts famous Tammy cow. When Ryan asked me if we had something for his sale this year I didn’t hesitate. This heifer is big bodied, square made, and has the running gear built for the long haul! Mix that and her pedigree this one will be fun to campaign as a half blood Simmental!

Sometimes getting Mother Nature, schedules of picture crew and full cooperation of animal to align proves difficult. And this was one of those times. While we’re certain that Luster has many better pictures in her, Mother Nature and schedules prevented another try. So while we agree quality of picture is lacking, we definitely believe quality of heifer isn’t!

NXT Luster M420 is sired by the renowned Angus bull SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and out of our matriarch donor NXT Redemption E701, Luster is a _-blood mated and built to generate. Star-faced and white-flanked, she offers an attractive, maternal look. Strong-topped and deep bodied she carries her depth evenly and presents a balanced underline from fore to rear flank. Additionally, she is angular, smooth-jointed and extremely sound. There’s no doubt NXT Luster can shine in the show ring and continue to deliver in the pasture!

Red Head Alert!! This dark red white face heifer has been a stand out since the day she was born.

I’m not sure why I’m selling her and I keep telling myself I still have her mother I can make another one. She’s got the big leg’s, big feet and big belly along with a great attitude. Have some fun in the show ring and then sit back and watch her make some Red Simmental babies.

DI Miss Magno Mas DIM1

Miss Magno is a stylish baldy that couples bone, belly, and power into an elegant, well balanced and ultra sound package. Success runs on both sides of this one’s pedigree. Her dam was a many time 2020 division champion and reserve breed champion. Her sire is a standalone sire, himself a breed champion at several shows, who most recently sired the Champion Bred & Owned Heifer at the 2024 AJSA Eastern Regional who is a 3/4 sib to Miss Magno Mas. Add in this heifer’s balanced EPD profile and she’ll be an excellent addition to the herd no matter your ambitions.
