th
Simmental breeders, junior members and cattle producers, First, off we want to welcome everyone to the 2nd annual Kentucky Simmental Association Fall sale. The KSA officers and board of directors are committed to providing a place in Kentucky to allow its membership a place to market and showcase their genetics. Last year the sale had 29 consignors and sold to Kentucky and nine other states. We, as sale manager and KSA member are proud to welcome you to this sale and invite you and your family members to attend this Kentucky Simmental sponsored event. Everyone is aware of the challenges COVID-19 has put on the livestock industry and our world in general. This spring since the state show was canceled, the Kentucky Simmental Association decided to combine the event. This is huge positive for the membership, buyers, and the juniors as well. The KSA has always had a strong junior association, and the last two years have been great with many new, young members and strong participation in the state show, Eastern Regional’s, AJSA Jr Nationals, Sweepstakes, county fairs and the state fair. This is always a relaxed, fun and educational event for our juniors. Also, if a junior buys an open heifer out the sale it can be shown the next day. Kentucky has always been a strong Simmental state and produces genetics that have always been producing some of the breeds best. We want to acknowledge the over the years of all the dedicated breeders that have done an outstanding job. I encourage you as a potential buyer to study the pedigrees, ask questions, and learn all you can about the advantages of the Simmental breed. The consignors have done an excellent job in consigning and bringing their best to the KSA Fall sale. There is something for everyone. The offering includes open show prospects, spring calving bred heifers and bred cows, cow calf pairs with young calves, bred heifers and bred cows close to calving. The offering includes some of the best embryos and genetic packages to take your program to the next level. The Bluegrass Marketplace is one of the nicest livestock facilities in the country. We invite you to come and take in the facilities and the activities. Please watch for updates sale week, videos, and any updates. If you need any assistance you can reach out to any of the consignors, sale committee members; Dalton Lundy, Michelle Canning, Jeff Stephens, Brian Swain, Jerod Metzger or Chris Allen. The sale will be on DV Auctions as well. If you have any questions on any of the great offering please don’t hesitate to contact any of us at DP Sales. We are proud of our Kentucky breeders and this strong sale offering. We look forward to the continuing the improvement of our breed in the Bluegrass state and hope you will be a part of the future. See you in Lexington on September 12th.

Selling three embryos guarantee one pregnancy if work is performed by a certified embryologist. Night Lights is a true brood cow. This Power Drive x Senerita is a half sister to Dew it Right which was past high seller at the Bulls of the Bluegrass. Many of sons and daughters over the years have done well for the Welsh program as well as Hart Farms, Loomis Simmental, Clover Valley, KenCo, Sloup, Hilltop and many others. One of her best daughters Elegance 114Y has done great for Tylertown having champions and high sellers. The cow has done well for all her different owners. Consistency is her middle name. Selling choice of sires A, B, or C, Profit, Hooks Bounty or Ft Knox. Also, selling eggs out her daughter. Barrett G Billingsley
Selling three embryos guarantee one pregnancy if work is performed by a certified embryologist. Night Class is knocking at the door of her dam, Night Lights. The family speaks for itself for sure. We live not too far from Jeff so over many years we have been watching his program for many years. He knows good genetics and is a great testimonial for a small breeder. His cattle have always been popular whether they sold at the Bulls of the Bluegrass, Belles, Tn Agribtion or Ky Beef Expo. Glad to have a couple of his best. This is your chance to purchase some elite genetics from Ft Knox. Go for the gold. We guarantee one pregnancy and one happy customer. Barrett G Billingsley

727E and 726E – Swain Intuition 015X is continuing to prove herself as a high level donor cow who consistently works. Her flush by Broadway has produced a set of cattle that are impressive to say the least, both bull and heifer. 726E and 727E are designed really well from nose to tail. Their hip structure is near perfect and we think these girls are big time money earners in the making. The Broadway females are proving themselves to be highly valued cows across the country. Truly beautiful and special young homozygous polled and homozygous black cows here and hard to separate in terms of which one we like better. 727E has a homozygous polled and homozygous black heifer calf born 7/13/20 and 726E has a homozygous polled and homozygous black calf born 8/4/20, both by Swain King Showcase 803F.

Double Diamond is a stout impressive cow that will sell with her young calf at side. Diamond will raise her calf no doubt, with all her depth and power she is also highly maternal. Her dam JS Burning Desire is a donor for Sloup and Harre Simmenals. Both JS Burning Desire and Burning Power have a long list of proven genetics. Her grand dam, Burning Power’s best daughter is Burn It Up which has 37 progeny listed and one of her best daughters is Burn Baby Burn which has 188 progeny listed. You know the reason for this info, the whole family works for each generation. Burning Desire was a past high seller for JS and is sired by the legend Shear Force. Diamond has the goods herself as an individual however it always helps to have backing of consistent cows. A definite money maker in the prime of her life.

We have multiple generations from GLS Miss Answer X45 on the farm. She produces attractive functional cattle that work. The Bounty calves are powerful and good footed with growth EPDs and stay ability to boot. The quality in this heifer is no surprise. This is a long term investment but a no brainer. She is soft structures and complete and will make a tank of a cow. 3 Trees Farm
