The Kentucky Beef Expo has a long standing tradition of a well respected outlet for beef cattle producers through the east and southeast to market their animals. We are proud that the Simmental breed has continued to be one of the most successful events at the expo in respects to both the participation by breeders and the attendance and gross. All of this is only capable because of the dedicated group of breeders who come back year after year to showcase their operation’s genetics at the Kentucky Beef Expo. We invite you to join us on Friday afternoon for the show where you will be able to visually appraise the animals as they walk through the show ring. This is a great opportunity to put your own eyes on the lots that have caught your attention as you were flipping through the catalog. Then on Saturday morning, we will have opens, breds, bulls, and genetic lots for sale in New Market Hall. The offering is backed by some of the top cow families in the breed, and this group of consignors is working hard to continue the success of the Simmental events at the expo. 230D & 238D – One of the hardest things we ever done in the cattle business was sell the donor Night Lights. In the 2015 Belles of the Bluegrass we offered up this Power Drive donor and knew she would be well received by many cattle breeders. Each time Doug Parke visited the farm he always tried his best and finally that day arrived as her embryo inventory and progeny added in numbers. This half sib to Welsh Dew It Right now excels for the Sloup program. In this year’s expo we offer two daughters sired by Uprising and Upper Class. You decide, they both combine cow power with genetic merit in the right type of package. The Uprising is long with an extended front end with loads of look and eye appeal. This girl is good legged and sound from the ground up. The star faced Upper Class is moderate, big bellied with loads of spring to her rib. This young female will be a tremendous cow.
