We invite you to mark your calendar and check out the Dixie National website (www.dixienational.org) to see the scheduled events. No matter where the AJSA regionals or Nationals is being held the Mississippi Association is always ready to assist. If you ask many breeders about the Dixie National sale and show they reply with it is so enjoyable and laid back with great weather and over the top hospitality. Well this year is the best ever on the quality of the genetics being offered in Jackson. The year’s sale is sponsored by the Mississippi Simmental/Simbrah Association with the cooperation of the Angus and Red Angus breeds. The Angus heifers are superior and ready to show and win banners. The Simmental consignors have done great just look at the pictures and plan to attend. The sale consist of some really elite herd sires which have done well in Mississippi and other places. These champions sell. You just need to attended to see the quality o all the lots. We welcome several new consignors to the sale. The pedigrees and quality are strong and you defiantly as a buyer have a lot of choose from at the sale. We have top notch show prospects, bred heifers and bulls ready to go to work, as well as some of the breeds best genetic lots. This year the sale offering includes a female that is out of a past champion and sibling was high seller. I encourage you to call some of those consignors prior to the sale and look them up sale week. As you review the catalog, several lots and genetics are from past champions at the Dixie National show plus will be winners as well. The Dixie National still continues to be one of the shows people love to attend year after to year. Remember this year all the sale cattle are entered in the open show. This is the top notch bred in our program. She should be staying in Kentucky however we want to offer our best. This female is of high quality and can be a benefit to any operation. Mary Sue has been shown and been on the tan bark several times and done quite well. 102F is a striking Broker x WLE Quota daughter this is complete, sound structured, long, well balanced plus look looking whatever angle you view. You don’t have to wait long on this female to calve whether she becomes one of the best cows in your herd or your next donor. The end of the month you will have a calf by Justify a son of Quantum Leap and Wheelman on the bottom side. Justify was Reserve calf champion at the North American in 2018 and Grand Champion at the Ky State Fair in 2018 and 2019. This bull is just as impressive as Mary Sue and will be at the Dixie to walk in the sale ring and show ring. We invite your inspection and calls. She was shown all show season last summer and made many friends along the way. We decided to breed her to HPF N Charge and offer her in the 2020 Dixie National sale. This heifer still has the ability to be shown as a senior yearling this coming show season where there is no doubt she won’t disappoint. Don’t miss out on this great cow. Black Blaze 416F is a low percentage heifer, with a world of style and future. She sells AId to Shell Shocked, who has been doing a great job for our friends at Fenton Farms, and exposed to a young Spartan son, who’s dam is a full sib to WHF/PRS/HPF Alley 247Y. Study her own pedigree closely. She’s sired by a PVF Insight son that’s doing a great job for PMCC, and her dam traces back to Aubrey’s BlackBlaze II 5T, better known as the dam of Secret Weapon. Her dam had her own stellar show career where she was named Champion European Commercial Heifer at the Mississippi State Fair, and MBK/PMCC Black Blaze 416F Reserve Champion European Commercial Heifer at the Dixie National. This young lady has a bright future ahead of her, and we can’t wait to see what she produces for her new owner! Relentless has proven to be a highly coveted bull and his calves are winning repeatedly across the country. I wanted to bring something special to the Dixie for our first time consigning, and 606 is just that. I absolutely love a red one, but more that a good red one. This heifer is special for the fact that she carries so much rib and muscle on a flawless undercarriage, but that she does so while looking like a lady. Being out of one of the best cow makers in the breed, the famous Hartman bull Driver, but also that she carries the strong backing from her great dam B191. If you’ll take a look at herdbook you’ll notice her mother’s production record, from top selling breds and opens pushing the $5000 mark to the fact that one of my best up and coming cows in the herd. This heifer represents what’s important to all of us, a strong EPD profile, all the attributes you could want in a future brood cow, and a striking side profile if you desire to show her. By the way she was pictured right out of the replacement pasture where she has had minimal grain. 100% kid broke and a pet to be around. •

If you believe in cow families dig your spurs in here my southern friends! This striking baldy has power in the blood and on hoof. Her dam C39 sired by the great Hartman bull, Pilgrim, is fast becoming a cornerstone for our program. Her maternal sib fetched $13,500 in our 2017 sale and $9500 in our 2018 sale. Obviously the consistency and opportunity to generate some serious dollars exist with this female. Her bold spring of rib combined with a beautiful baldy face while gliding on a superior running gear sets her apart. Sired by our up and coming star “Road Trip” whose bloodlines run deep into the Bloomberg and Wesner programs I just don’t see how this heifer can’t accelerate anyone’s program. Straight out of our replacement pasture and into the picture pen with a quick haircut this female will only look better by the time she steps foot into the great state of Mississippi. •

We are really excited about this one! She has all the right pieces to be a show heifer - awesome side profile, super sound and great disposition. A favorite in the barn this year, we think she also will excel once in production. Luke campaigned a half-sib to this heifer a few years ago and was 7th Overall South Central Regional Bred & Owned Percentage Heifer. She is now in production making her own mark in our herd! We just can’t keep them all, unfortunately, so bid with confidence on this one!

We are coming loaded for bear with top quality opens to Mississippi and heifers like 625 should be proof in the pudding to that statement. Pedigree runs deep here once again being out of the $160,000 record smashing bull “Revival” who topped the Denver sale then his daughter “So Sweet” two holed the Denver show being champion in the Jr. AND open show. On the dam side Miss Lock Down is a top producer for us coming from the great Walsh program in Nebraska then leaving her mark in our program putting two heifers in the annual production sale with the most notable heifer bringing $11,500. This heifer is stunning on the side profile yet has a big swoop to her belly and is sure to grab some looks when she makes her debut to Dixie. Judging teams have called this heifer “stupidly sound” and a true standout. She’s carrying a very impressive set of EPDs to match her phenotype. Keep in mind she came out of the replacement pasture and into the picture pen and still looked that good. These females are easy keeping and ready to make you money! •

Out of our Sr herdsire, A Step Up who is still breeding cows at 9 years old after spending his youth in bull stud, 626 will exceed expectations when she comes into production as a cow. Step up topped the Denver sale in 2015 and has had daughters win several national shows, but more importantly is how they produce the rest of their life. 626 stands on a commanding rear leg that leads down to the big foot just like daddy that will ensure soundness for years and years. Just like all daughters of ASU I’m sure she’ll have a picture perfect udder. Moving onto her dam there’s no doubt Driver females flat produce and generate dollars and that’s what her dam C270 has done. Maternal sib commanded $10,500 and landed in the prestigious Walsh program in Nebraska. Take this stout made, stunning female home and let her go to work. You can make the decision but I would breed her to revival when the time comes.....I’ve used this combination of Step Up, Driver, and Revival multiple times and it almost always results in a sale topper. Just like the rest of the females coming to Dixie she was pulled in out of the replacement pasture and pictured. These things will get better and better as they come onto feed. •

905 is a absolute beast of a Angus female. As we all know Primo daughters have won banners all over the country and by no surprise. Out of one of Adcock’s most consistent donors that not only swept the show ring but is proving her worth in the donor pen as well. It’s rare to find a female with so much belly, and by belly your going to say whoa when you see this female.....but she’s so elegant through her front third for what’s following behind. If you like carrying buckets of high priced show feed this heifer isn’t for you, but if you like them soft, sound, stout and easy doing dig your heels into this gal. As with all the others coming we wanted to bring something special to the Dixie as last year was our first and we really enjoyed and hope to build a reputation with our southern friends and be back for many years. I’ve talked to my good buddy Doug for many years saying when the time is right we’ll start selling females beyond our production sale. Well the good lord answered that call blessing us with lots of heifers and we are coming loaded for bear with this Angus female.
