to the 2021 Dixie National Sale! It is with great excitement we welcome you to the 2021 Dixie National Livestock Show & Rodeo. After the bleakness of 2021, it is good to get back to selling and exhibiting cattle, and no better please to head to than some Southern hospitality in Mississippi. The Dixie National is a favorite by many out of state cattle breeders, and they are back again this year for a great event. With the cancellations of some of the livestock shows, the American Simmental Association has certified the Dixie National Simmental Show as the last stop on the PTP Ring of Champions. We look forward to this bringing new Simmental breeders to the great state. Again this year, we have a diverse offering that includes Angus and Red Angus lots. We want to thank these two breeds for being great supporters of the Dixie National and participating in the sale. Take a minute to look through the catalog and see what these breeders are bringing to Jackson this February. As always, if we can be of any assistance to you as you make your selections, please feel free to contact us, the consignors, or the sale chairman. Don’t forget to check the back of the catalog out for some great ways to support the ASA Foundation and the Moreno family.

Folks from the heart of the herd here. We went to the Lazy H dispersal and there wasn’t a single animal I didn’t want to buy. We bought several pregnancies and here’s the result of one, straight out of the keep pen. We had a great time selling at Dixie last year and as I drove home just knew we needed to do something special when we came back in 2020, and here she is. Pay the Price needs no introduction and I will say one of the most impressive bulls I’ve ever seen standing in stud, but to move on I want to tell you about her dam 42A. I guess quite simply I would say the most stunning, picture perfect baldy female I’ve ever laid eyes on. She’s bred to our newest herd sire, Relentless x Miss Star Above. If you don’t recognize that cow she’s raised two $100,000 bulls....Bottomline AND Ledger and numerous sought after daughters. As far as talking this heifer up, I’m not. I’m telling you she’s awesome, but come see for yourself! PE bred to Bar QH Relentless Star, ASA#3796652, from 8/1/20 to 9/15/20. Observed 8/16/20 •

This is the first heifer we have ever offered out of our lead donor Star. When you study her and her maternal brother by Bankroll, you’ll see why we still love this tried and true donor. If you like your girls with a little extra junk in the trunk you’ll love this one. She is huge footed, and carries around an added punch of muscle and rib shape, all in a ladylike package. Combine that with being out of the great Quantum Leap, Miles will be pretty upset when this one leaves the show barn. Like her sister Lorrie, who was Mason’s first barn project, Star has a great attitude, and Miles is usually the one to lead her around the barn. Dependable and functional genetics never go out of style, and we think you can’t go wrong with this one. Also, did we mention she was AI bred to Dew North on December 10! The calf in her belly will be royally bred! AI bred to GSC GCCO Dew North 102C, ASA#3141837 on 12/10/20 •

Wow! Here’s one that should sure make you stop and look. This baldy bull has been a standout since he hit the ground last spring. Perfect goggle eye baldy, has plenty of power, style, and with his running gear, he can cover some ground. We think you can’t go wrong with this young Bankroll son. This guy has been flat putting it on the last few months, and we think he’ll be even better than his picture come February. If he’s this impressive as a calf, we can’t wait to see how he matures. Good bulls have great cows backing them up, and 224H is backed by our lead donor. Star has never missed producing natural bull calves that turn into good looking herd sires, and this mating to Bankroll added some extra pizazz to an already great cow family. Check out his maternal sister by Quantum Leap, and you’ll see the consistency of this cow family. We think so much of this dude we’re retaining 1/3 semen interest. •

“Big Dixie” was pulled out of the replacement lot as a featured lot for this grand event. Not only is she a purebred with style, but wow talk about going to be a beast in production. Her dam B342 originated from the Keller ranch in North Dakota. Several years ago I hand picked a pot load of open heifers out of their production sale and they’ve been a huge asset to the herd. If you like little dinky cattle, you might as well move on. If you don’t mind a big cow that raises a big calf I strongly suggest you look her up. Different operations in different environments need various types of cattle. I try to bring multiple types and variations to this sale that we respect and are happy to be a part of. One thing stays the same and that’s the quality of cattle making the trip south. •

Veronica is a female that my daughter is not really happy to part with so please hope good thoughts for her because the new owner should be happy as a lark. You could be the happy new owner and I bet you will be happy every time you walk in the barn and show ring. This female is wide based, big boned, hairy, and stout plus complete. She has been to several shows in Ohio plus North American and even Oklahoma City. Veronica was 2nd in class behind the Reserve champion in the North American Jr show. Veronica is sired by Meant To Be, Broker son out of the famed Diamond cow. Jamie Campbell was proud of him and sure even prouder of his offspring. •

Fancy seemed appropriate for this Black and White beauty. Her young dam doesn’t miss on quality, and more importantly like all the Step Up daughters she has a picture perfect udder and breeds back on time, everytime. If you move beyond her striking silhouette, her bone and hoof are massive. I’m a huge fan of big footed cattle, always seems to take part in overall production from breeding to longevity.....my best cows are the ones that sit down on a big hoof with authority. Her young sire Road Trip sired multiple high sellers this year in our annual production sale and I hope you’ll understand why after seeing some of these daughters in the flesh. Rather you love or hate her color that decision is on you, but regardless I think you’ll see the quality. •

“Babe” as she’s known around the farm is a direct daughter of B401 who has left her mark in our program. Her first two daughters were high sellers in our production sale commanding $11,250 and $7000. Her last daughter sold at the Dixie last year and was chosen by the Crowell family as a herd building female. Last I knew she had stuck AI first try and they were thrilled. You know sometimes we get lost in the hype about this or that trend, and it’s easy to forget the basics. H710’s dam proves the basics every year, raise a big calf, breed back and look beautiful doing it. Her sire “Legendary” is not only performing in the show ring but is a true multi use bull as they also perform in the feedlot and pasture, I don’t have a ton of them but what I do have, I sure like. This female probably won’t cost you much but I’m fairly certain she’ll put dollars in your pocket in the long run. •

HLVW Joy Depo 016

HLVW Joy Depo 016 is a big, powerful stylish ET daughter of OBCC CMFM Deplorabull D148 and our JF Ebonys Joy 1282 donor. We really like our Deplorabull calves and with limited semen, there are not many out there. We liked them early on, but now we see that they get better and better with age so it has been interesting to watch this one develop. The predictable pedigree of the JF Ebony’s Joy 1282 does not miss and we think that you will agree. She has been a standout for visitors to our show barn since weaning. Normally this kind of female would not be available at this time of year, but with 2020 being the Year of COVID, she is still available for your evaluation. When you view a power female like this one keep in mind the future she will have as a cow with a milk EPD of 27.

This is a very unique female, especially for a purebred. Very feminine through her front third, ties into her tailhead in the most perfect manner. When you sit back and analyze this female hopefully you’ll see the potential I do. She was pictured mid December right out of the replacement lot, where her and all the other heifers were being fed a maintenance ration and free choice grass hay. HLVW Carver Shine 012 is the natural calf of the HLVW Pays to Shine 1746 donor that we feel is an awfully nice young April female. First of all, it would be hard to find one this good that is the gentle as she could probably be shown without a halter, like a lamb. Aside from that aspect, study her immaculate profile with that soft, deep middle and super cool front end with a blaze face that we wish for on all show heifers. She is sired by the TKCC Carver bull that we observed being the lead bull in the Grand Pen of Purebred bulls at Denver and we feel that the mating worked extremely well. Flush mates to the dam have done very well in the show ring being Supreme females in Georgia (Puckett) and Alabama (Boyd) (different heifers in each state) and the 1746 dam was 4th overall in the Southwestern Regional Junior Heifer Show. This is an extremely predictable pedigree that will be a great project and a great cow. •

The Shine Down name is very fitting for this April born female. This fancy show prospect is double good and double attractive with the overall look and completeness to arrive at the back drop. Shine Down is long necked, clean made, square hipped, good topped with a sound structure on the ground. Now add in the consistent and dependable, proven pedigree. On the top side is Ignition going back to the Elrod and Toblert, E/T Ester and on the bottom Black Jade. The great grandmother Black Jade was champion at the American Royal. A full brother to Shine Down mother was champion bull at the Ky Beef Expo and high selling bull at $9000. Star of Jade was a donor the Smoot program and not continues to work for HTP and Hilltop. An exciting Pays to Dream daughter backed by the great Caliente cow family, H090 is sound structured, bigger boned, and built to last. She stands on a large, well designed foot with a lot of capacity. She is still a little green but coming along very nicely. This well balanced heifer will be fun to show, especially as a bred and should give you plenty of years to return your investment. •

Females like this young lady have an interesting place in the industry as breeding pieces. She’s functionally built at the surface, and offers a great deal of true width and dimension. Furthermore, “Martha” is so bold and robust about her center body, and ties it into a moderate and practical package. Her pedigree that boasts the likes of Promise Me Purple, Black Jade, Hope Floats, Miss Awe, Black Chyna, and Donna provide an immediate boost of maternal power, but leave the opportunity to use several of today’s high influence sires. We are excited to bring you this summer born female from one of our favorite females that has been in our barn. Her dam RHF Hush Hush was extremely competitive and was campaigned all over the circuit. She was reserve AOB at Phoenix along with being reserve in her division at the Dixie national a few years ago. This is the first offering from her as all over progeny has been retained. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to show a percent Red Angus at Tennessee this year for junior nationals along with having SimSolution papers as well. Red Angus cattle are ever increasing in popularity, and our program is jumping in! Bred in the prominent Bieber operation, the practicality offered by females like “S33H” are a big reason for the growing interest. She’s impeccable in her structural design, square hipped, long sided, smooth shouldered and extended. As a fall born calf, she offers junior members the chance to be at the end of the halter for two show seasons. When her days on the tanbark are over, her production career should be profitable as a daughter of the popular Stockmarket, by a daughter of the Australian import, Iron Ore. •

SFGB Mr Olaf 1225G

Who doesn’t like a blaze face bull? “Olaf” has an elite pedigree that speaks for itself. His dam is a maternal sister to the great Mr CCF Vision and out of the famous Mr HOC Broker. He is sired by W/C Relentless who’s progeny have been dominating the show ring from coast to coast. This herd sire prospect has an abundance of style and power in a sound attractive package. He is externally long sided and super balanced from end to end and will sire calves with that extra “look” they need to be the front pasture kind. He powers around the pasture on a super stout set of feet and legs that are built for the long haul. Olaf has been a crowd favorite since he was a baby and has multiple Supreme Champion awards under his belt. We have taken all of the guess work out with this bull. His proven genetics and eye appealing package are ready to go out and make a positive impact in your herd. •

If you want a bull that will not only add pounds, but add style and look give this guy a circle, five stars, whatever your choice might be. He’s the natural son of our Pilgrim donor, C39. In her short career C39 has raised three heifers in a row for our production sale ranging from $6,750 to $13,500. That $13,500 Revival heifer was flushed after her first calf, and the mating resulted in a triple digit heifer that Sara Sullivan is going to campaign. I don’t want to get too caught up in dollars, but my point is this guy comes from a very, very profitable and productive cow family. As for that horrendous birth weight, I’d believe that about as much as I’m flying a space shuttle the week after Dixie to meet the martians on the moon. I try not to bash our numbers system too much as a breed but that’s a pile of horse manure. I’m not saying turn him out with 30 heifers, but if a third of my herd didn’t trace back to this cow family I’d be using him myself. Commercial or show, whatever the choice may be when the gavel drops, this bull will work in either environment. • Bar QH Simmentals

Hi dam is out of our RHF Dixie 265A donor cow that comes from the Miss Kansas K 11G donor. One of the most prolific donors in the Simmental breed with 231 progeny. Not only does he have an impressive pedigree, look at his EPDs and his performance. Actual BW 65, Adjusted BW 70, Actual WW 828 Adjusted WW 920. I’ve liked this bull since he was born, pretty headed, smooth joints, sound, just looks like a heifer bull to me. Out of a beautiful first calf heifer sired by the momma maker himself, step up, and a moderate 67 pound birth weight I think he could certainly be heifer safe. Not too go to far off topic, but Step Ups come small, vigorous, and the daughters have picture perfect udders. The king himself is still breeding cows at 10 years old with no signs of slowing down, keep in mind his first 5 years were spent in stud. The same year he collected over 4,000 units of semen, he also bred 90 cows. As you read my footnotes you’ll realize how important longevity is at Bar QH. I would never leave the nuts in a bull that I wouldn’t use myself. We have made several southern friends and customers and I hope to keep that going by offering quality cattle. We make a strong effort to sell some of our top end at Dixie every year. This year is no exception. This bull is a real breeding piece that won’t disappoint you when you see him breeding your cows. STCC Digital 079H combines breed standouts! There aren’t many full sisters to the great Relentless and this stud is out of one of them and sired by Broker. You can see the power of the pedigree as this bull is stout, sound and looks to be a real changer. •

Another real standout, this half blood by WC Bulletproof is special. In 2019, I traveled to our special friends Gib and Steven Yardley’s sale in Utah to add some Angus cows to our herd. The dam of this bull was my top selection and she did not disappoint us with this one. The cow is a Yardley Royal Jet out of Steven’s special SAV Bando 5175 dam. STCC Steven 133H, named accordingly, is very complete with a world of balance. If you are looking for a percentage bull to show in the south and then work wonders in production, this calf will fit the order! He is one of the best one’s we have offered at the Dixie!! Offered with Maurey Kaiser. •

Dixie sure has been good to STCC Ms Out Believing as she was chosen as the 2019 Champion Purebred Simmental she also was 6th overall female at the 2018 AJSA NC Regionals among other accomplishments in her show career. When we purchased her in the 2017 Right by Design sale, we knew she was going to be special and she has far exceeded our expectations. Out Believing’s first calf JLR STCC Sheza Knockout followed in her Dam’s footsteps being named Dixie National’s 2020 Champion Purebred Simmental as a May born calf! Don’t think there has been a back to back champion accomplished like this in Dixie history! Sheza Knockout was also 7th overall at the 2020 AJSA Nationals with Claire Trennepohl in the owned show, then sold for $28,000 in this year’s Right by Design sale. JLR STCC Headliner is a stout made, big footed, long bodied, and attractive young bull. A lot of success is being made with this cow family and we feel this guy will follow in their suit. Selling full possession and 2/3 semen interest in this young stud bull prospect. •

Anne is a soft made, well structured PB heifer with a great disposition and a bright future. She has the pedigree and EPDs to allow a great deal of flexibility when making breeding choices. We purchased her dam from Lone Tree Simmentals as a heifer in 2018 and have been very pleased with this cow family. •

This is the first time to offer semen on Dillions True Grit. First off, I will say the program of C & C Farms has been nothing but good for our small program. True Grit was from an embryo purchase and we figured we would hit a home with all the family success of Jestress and her progeny. As you know this family has produced numerous winners and high sellers for years. True Grit is one to sample for sure.

We are honored to donate this heifer to the memory of Javier Moreno. Patriarch of 3M Simmentals, father to Abby, Tyson and Brent, and husband to Brenda. Javier had a genuine love of the Simmental breed, and the Mississippi Simmental-Simbrah Association and could always be counted upon to lend a helping hand. He will always be remembered as a true gentleman, father and friend. All proceeds from the sale of this heifer will go to his family to help with expenses incurred during a long hospital stay.
