Welcome to the Stockyard City Reds sale. It is hard to believe this is already the 3rd edition of the Cattlemen’s Congress. We have put together an elite set of Red Angus genetics for everyone to evaluate and enjoy. There is a little something for everyone from herd sires to show heifers, potential donor cows, and elite flushes and embryos. The Red Angus breed has been extremely popular, and the excitement continues to grow around the country, from show heifers being in the hunt for supreme titles to bull sales being more popular for the commercial man - it is a very exciting time. J6 Farms originated July 6th, 1992, as a grain and Angus operation. Over time as David and Tish’s kids began showing cattle, their appreciation for Red Angus females grew and they began assembling a Red Angus female base. Over time J6 Farms has focused and built a large herd of Red Angus seedstock focusing on replacement females and their annual bull sale. Being our Red Angus endeavor began from the kid’s showing in junior programs, we are honored to be able to give back to the program that helped build ours. We must seize opportunities such as this to help our outstanding youth build through the years and utilize a great junior program.

The selection process for this female was simple: pick from the top. It’s fitting that 571K’s mother was our most successful show heifer in recent years, 2019 NAJRAE 4th Overall Owned Female, 2019 Nebraska State Fair 4-H Reserve Supreme Female 2019, and 2019 American Royal Junior and Open Champion Red Angus Female. WEBR Maxed Out 627 has easily been the most influential herd sire for us over the years, producing incredible females in production and AI/herd sires that have impacted breeding programs at all levels.

Over the past four years, we have kept all replacement females, letting a minimal amount leave our pastures. The opportunity of J6 Fire Queen 571K as a show heifer and breeding piece are abundant but the chance to help our youth succeed is endless.
