Wools Product Guide

From the Farm to Your Needles

Inspired by the raw and natural perfection of Mother Nature, Bare Naked wools was created to provide a natural and environmentally friendly fiber source for the socially conscious knitter. Founded by Anne Hanson, the designer behind Knitspot, Bare Naked Wools is an ethical and locally sourced yarn label. The company has a close relationship with the fiber producers, pairing the farmers and their animals with experienced, artisan spinners. Along with using clean, natural materials, Bare Naked Wools provides the highest standard quality for the discerning knitter. When it comes to a fiber for the softest, most luscious and longest lasting garments and accessories, Bare Naked Wools has gone through trial and error to find the perfect fit so that the customer does not have to.

Unique and Ethical Yarns

We are known for being one of the only companies in the U.S. to provide undyed yarns in single breed and wool blends, wool and alpaca blends, and luxury blends. Bypassing chemical processing and dyes in favor of showcasing the unique colors and characteristics of each fiber type, Bare Naked Wools offers hand knitting yarns with the spring and vitality of handspun and the consistency of millspun. We like to say that knitting with our yarn is like eating food from the garden, lively and full of flavor as they pass through your hands.
