RACIKAN MENDADAK - A Visual Photobook made by Muhammad Barkah and Febrina Rahmi.
Synopsis:
visual manipulation has always been something we're enormously interested in. however it was something that we did digitally and now we're curious to create a collage with our hands. that's how the idea of Racikan Mendadak came up.
we began with a roll of black and white film and a few roll colored-films that we filtered black and white. the reason we used black and white pictures are to make the relationship with black and white pictures and the used books and to differentiate between our pictures and the books'. so that there'll be a clear consistency between the pictures that we took and the colored pictures taken from the book.

how we cut and paste the pictures to create the collage is a spontaneous process. we simply saw attractive combinations between the shot and the pictures and that's what we made.
