From the Manager
GOOD EVENING EVERYONE AND I HOPE YOU ARE ALL KEEPING WELL AHEAD OF TONIGHT’S NATIONAL LEAGUE MATCH WITH HARTLEPOOL UNITED. We have simply got to show the right character and mentality to start raising the level of performances after a difficult week last week. The results in the last three matches haven’t been good enough and now we have to refresh and go again this week. We have shown what we can do in previous matches, but its no good than less we can start doing it on a more consistent basis. I know there’s talent in our squad, so we now have to start showing it regularly so we can pick up points and move up the table. It’s important we don’t make the individual errors that we have done in the previous
matches as they are really costing us deerly. The goals we conceded in the last matches aren’t good enough and we have to start putting that right, that has to start today. I completely understand everyone’s frustrations with the results in the last week and we will do everything we can to start to put things right tonight. Thanks for your support,

RAY CLEMENCE
RAY CLEMENCE - A PERSONAL TRIBUTE BY FENTON HIGGINS I had the privilege of knowing Ray for almost 27 years - 24 of which I was his accountant, adviser, golf opponent and friend. His achievements in football are well known but I would like to pay a personal tribute to this extraordinary man. He always said that he taught me football and I taught him finance. He was right about the first part but he was actually very savvy with money. A few anecdotes of my time with Ray. I first met Ray when he joined Barnet FC as director of football. My close friend, David Buchler, had recently taken over the club that had severe financial difficulties following the ownership of infamous ticket tout, Stan Flashman. David asked me to help and I was appointed as finance director. One of my roles was to work with Ray on how best to use our limited resources to strengthen the squad after we were inevitably relegated from League One (as it is now). Ray rang me and asked to meet to discuss his proposals for the squad. I was dreading it as I was sure that he was going to ask for more money. Not a bit of it. He wanted to release quite a few players but he had somehow found some amazing signings - all within budget. He went through what was now a regular routine. He wrote down the players’ names on a sheet of paper and then drew one half of a football pitch with each position and then put players’ names under each one that could play there. Some only featured once (the goalkeeper for example) but most were twice. Ray always worked from the spine of the team first. It was impressive; very impressive but there was an obvious gap for a right sided player which I pointed out - hesitantly! “Good spot but John can also play there”. “But Ray, he can’t kick with his right foot”. “He can now!” as Ray wrote his name in to the vacant position. Being involved with the turnaround of Barnet was not easy as we had multiple issues to deal with on a day to day basis. Matchdays were supposed to be a relief to the stress and sometimes they were but often they were not. We had a board meeting shortly after a particularly abject performance from the
team. We had a small board that included a wonderful man by the name of Brian Edwards. He was a retired Colonel from the Army. Ray always attended these meetings and we could not avoid talking about the previous game. I nervously suggested that the team’s endeavour was not acceptable - particularly in relation to the loose ball where “we seemed to always come second”. Before Ray could respond, Brian said “in the Army, if you came second, you would be dead!” We looked at Ray who thought for a moment and then said “Colonel, you have just written my team talk before the next match on Saturday”! One evening, I was sharing a glass or two with Ray and his coaching staff. They talked football non stop. When describing a player, they would say that “he was decent in the air, he has a decent left foot, ….”. The point was the that the only adjective that they seemed to use was “decent”. I quietly whispered to Ray “what is the opposite of decent”? “F*****g useless!” was the response. After Ray left Barnet to join the FA as the goalkeeping coach, he asked me to look after his personal finances and tax. He was a regular visitor to my office and was always charming with my staff and totally unassuming. For the last 20 years, he was invited to our office Christmas party as one of only a few outsiders. He was always first up to lead the singing and games. He was in his element. Those of you who knew Ray will know how he loved to enjoy himself at such events. I spoke to Ray a few weeks ago when he was really struggling. As always, his first question was “how are you mate”? He knew that he was dying but his thoughts were for his beloved family and he wanted to make sure that his “affairs were in order”. Ray, I am going to miss you terribly. Never mind that you were a magnificent goalkeeper with all your considerable achievements; to me, you were quite simply, a great bloke!
The Captain JAMES
DUNNE
From the Captain GOOD EVENING EVERYONE AND I CONTINUE TO SEND MY BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL. Firstly on behalf of the boys I have to apologise for the performances in the previous week, quite simply we know it hasn’t been good enough and we need to make it up to you with a good performance this evening. The manner of the goals on Saturday wasn’t good enough, as a team, we have to take responsibility for the way we performed on Saturday. We didn’t deserve anything from the match and now we have to put it behind us, so we can try to move forward into this week. First things first we have to put in a good performance tonight, no one is thinking about Sunday’s Cup match, the league is of high importance and we need to put some points on the board. There’s no doubting that tonight will be tough, every game in this division is. We have to focus on what we can do and our own performance, that is the first building block to getting a result. I have full faith in our group and we have to go out tonight and prove a point. Please stick with us, we have shown before we can bounce back and now we have to do it again and try to build some momentum. Thanks for your support!

During lock down 1 , I was invited with Kevin ziants to do a 1 hour interview about the Barnetwft, for Radio Harrow on it’s Sunday morning sports show with Natascia Bernardi , we just found out that this podcast was their most listened to of 2020 , no recounts are expected !! The humour and banter flowed easily and can be heard again via our Facebook page .

Hartlepools United Football Athletic Company was formed on 1st June 1908 and they began playing at the Victoria Ground under the name Hartlepools United, representing the two boroughs of the town. The club’s impact on Dorset’s football scene was immediate The first game was friendly held against a Newcastle United XI at The Vic in September 1908 and Pools ran out 6-0 winners. In November 2016 a German Zeppelin bomber on a mission to Teesside’s industrial area jettisoned its load on to the Victoria Ground, destroying the Main Stand. A replacement stand was built – which would then remain until the 1980s. The Club joined the Football League in 1921 having successfully won a case for election to the new Northern Section based on them successfully finishing in the top half of the North Eastern League. It was the 1940s by the time Pools started to gain some real stability in the League and under the guidance of popular boss Fred Westgarth they came close to winning promotion to the Second Division and also enjoyed some success in the cups.
TODAY’S OPPOSITION
In the early 50s Pools played some high profile FA Cup games against Burnley and Chelsea, pushing the giants all the way but unfortunately losing 1-0 in both ties in front of huge crowds. Perhaps the most famous game in the Club’s history arrived in 1957 when Manchester United’s Busby Babes came to town for what turned out to be an epic FA Cup tie. Pools raced into an unlikely 3-1 lead against the top-flight outfit but the Red Devils came back to win 4-3 in what Sir Matt Busby later described as “the most exciting match I’ve ever watched”. In October 1965 a certain Brian Clough began his managerial career when he arrived as the new man in charge at The Vic after injury had ended his playing career. Taking over from Westgarth, Clough moulded together with a powerful side and went on to lay the foundations for the Club’s first-ever promotion in 1967/68. Most of the 1970s were played out to the backdrop of financial troubles though there were still some memorable cup ties, including a trip to Ipswich Town in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup. In 1977/78 the Club dropped the ‘S’ from their name and went to Hartlepool United for the new season. Pools came to the rescue of local rivals in Middlesbrough in 1985 when the Teessiders were faced with extinction and were locked out of their Ayresome Park home. Billy Horner organised for Boro to play their game against Port Vale immediately after Pools’ own game against Cardiff City at The Vic. In 1989 Cyril Knowles was appointed manager and completed his first task in ensuring Pools escaped relegation before going about putting together a squad which could challenge at the other end of the table. Sadly, illness would mean Cyril wouldn’t be around to see his work come to full fruition but Alan Murray stepped up to lead the team to a second promotion in 1990/91 though the former manager’s role in the success was recognised with the naming of the Cyril Knowles Stand. More financial problems soon kicked-in and local businessman Harold Hornsey is credited with saving the Club after stepping in with a rescue package in 1995. He stabilised the Club and then found responsible new owners in the shape of Increased Oil Recovery in 1997. Under IOR the Club flourished, qualifying for the playoffs three seasons in a row before finally winning promotion from the bottom tier again as runners-up in 2002/03. Success kept on coming and Pools were beaten play-off semi-finalists in 2003/04 in League One before reaching the League One Play-Off Final in 2004/05, playing against Sheffield Wednesday in front of a crowd of 59,808. In an epic Final at The Millennium Stadium, Pools were leading 2-1 with seven minutes remaining before a controversial penalty award and a red card turned the game on its head and The Owls levelled and then won the game in extra time. After relegation to League Two the following season, Danny Wilson was installed as the boss and led the Club back to League One at the first time of asking – breaking numerous records on the way to the runners-up spot in 2006/07.
After spending several seasons in League One, Pools were relegated again in 2012/13 and have spent several years battling in the bottom half of League Two before succumbing to a devastating last-day relegation at the end of 2016/17. The Club’s first season in the National League provided yet more drama of the unwanted kind as financial worries threatened its very existence and Pools fans – as well as those from other clubs around the country – rallied together to help save it. In April 2018, Raj Singh and Jeff Stelling completed a takeover of the Club which saw Singh become the new Chairman with immediate effect and he went on to appoint Matthew Bates as the new permanent Manager after he helped steer the team away from relegation trouble. The start of the 2018/19 campaign was strong enough and Pools put together an unbeaten run to carry themselves into the play-off positions during the opening months. However, a run of six straight defeats in the National League heaped pressure on Matthew Bates and a decision was taken that he should leave the Club in late November 2018. Director of Football, Craig Hignett was placed in temporary charge of First Team affairs as a result. In December, the Board made the decision to appoint Richard Money as the new Manager of the Club and he won his first game in charge with an FA Trophy triumph at Leamington. However, six weeks later the decision was taken for Money to move into a more advisory role, paving the way for Craig Hignett to make a popular return for a second spell as Manager. In October 2019, Hignett left his role as boss and First Team Coach Antony Sweeney was handed caretaker charge whilst the Club sought a new Manager. The following month, former AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor was appointed as the new First Team Manager, bringing with him Everton FA Cup winner Joe Parkinson as Assistant Manager, while Antony Sweeney was kept on in a First Team Coach capacity.
DAVE
CHALLINOR
The Manager
DAVE CHALLINOR WAS APPOINTED AS THE NEW First Team Manager of Hartlepool United in November 2019, succeeding Craig Hignett in the dugout at Victoria Park. Challinor arrives at The Vic on the back of a long and hugely successful spell as boss at AFC Fylde, during which he oversaw The Coasters’ impressive elevation through the footballing pyramid. When Challinor took the reins at Fylde, the club were playing their football in Northern Premier League Division One North but an ambitious strategy on and off the pitch was to pave the way for a rapid rise. Born in Chester, Challinor began his playing days in the colours of Tranmere Rovers where he came through the ranks to develop in to a hugely popular centre-back at Prenton Park. Allied to his competitive and no-nonsense nature as a defender, he also caught the eye due to his enormous throw-in – in 1998 he claimed the World Record for the longest thrown when he hurled a ball 46.34 metres to beat the record held by Andy Legg. Challinor enjoyed success with Tranmere, playing for them in the 2000 League Cup Final, before Stockport County stumped up a fee of £120,000 to take him to Edgeley Park in January 2002. After a couple of seasons with The Hatters he was allowed to join Bury on loan in January 2004 and he made that move to Gigg Lane a permanent one in the summer which followed. He was installed as Club Captain at Bury and spent four years there before a knee injury forced him to retire from professional football at the end of the 2007/08 campaign. Challinor was able to play part-time and became skipper of Colwyn Bay with whom he reached
the play-offs two seasons in succession and secured promotion in 2010 after which he was appointed as Player/Manager of the club. His first season as manager saw The Bay finish runners-up in the Northern Premier League Premier Division and they triumphed in the play-offs to be promoted to National League North, while they also claimed the North Wales Coast Cup. It was in November 2011 that Challinor was tempted away to join AFC Fylde as boss and his magic touch continued as they were promoted from Northern Premier League Division One North as champions in his season in charge. The Coasters made it to the play-offs in the season under his watch, while also making it through to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup and winning silverware in the form of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy. They went one better in 2013/14 when Fylde won the play-offs to take their place in National League North, retaining the Challenge Trophy in to the bargain and claiming the Fair Play Award. In 2016/17 there was more joy for Challinor and the Fylde supporters as they clinched another promotion as Champions of National League North and he led the club in to the fifth tier for the first time in their history. He then led them a third place finish in the National League in 2017/18 only to fall at the play-off hurdle, while last term he took them to Wembley where they won the FA Trophy.
Ryan Johnson THE POWERFUL DEFENDER SIGNS ON A SHORT-TERM DEAL AFTER LEAVING KIDDERMINSTER AT THE END OF LAST SEASON. He started his career with West Bromwich Albion as a boy but before he signed pro terms with them, he signed for Stevenage. He made nine appearances for the club and spent time out on loan at Nuneaton Town and fellow National League side Boreham Wood. In January 2019, Johnson signed a permanent deal at Kidderminster Harriers after a successful loan spell and played throughout the 2019/20 National League North season.
Joe Grey THE 17-YEAR-OLD STRIKER JOINED THE POOLS YOUTH ACADEMY LAST YEAR FROM WALLSEND BOYS CLUB He quickly made a good impression on the coaching staff. Joe made 4 appearances in the First team squad last season featuring on the bench in both league and FA Cup games. Joe has spent pre season training with the first team and has fitted in very well with Dave Challinor plans. Despite continuous interest from other clubs, Dave is delighted to see Joe sign on with Pools: “Joe is a great young talent and there was no surprise to see other clubs trying to get a hold of him but we are delighted to see him sign on. He has trained hard with the first team lads and really fitted in well. Everyone at Hartlepool is excited to see what Joe can do and offer to our squad”.
Gavan HOLOHAN MIDFIELD MAN GAVAN HOLOHAN JOINED POOLS IN FEBRUARY 2019 Having come through the ranks with Kilkenny in his native Ireland, Holohan was picked up by Hull City in 2008 and he went on to spend the next four years with The Tigers, captaining their Youth Team. Upon his release he signed for Alfreton Town but returned to Ireland in 2013 to join Drogheda United where his form in the engine room earned him a move to Cork City. A box-to-box midfielder who is capable of scoring and creating goals, Holohan most recently spent time with Galway United and Waterford before returning for another crack at English football with Pools.
CLAUDIO Ofosu THE 21-YEAR-OLD JOINED HARTLEPOOL UNITED After spending the last season with BetVictor Southern League Premier Division side Royston Town where he enjoyed a successful season driving them to a second-place league finish. With 9 goals and 11 assists last year, Claudio quickly became well known for his quick speed, skillful wing play, and natural ability to run past his man. Ofosu began his career with St Neots Town, making 24 appearances before joining Stevenage, progressing through the club’s youth system and enjoying loan spells at Biggleswade United, where he bagged three goals in six appearances, and then six appearances at Kings Langley before a loan spell at Mildenhall Town, all gaming valuable first-team experience.
After leaving The Lamex Stadium, Ofosu returned to St Neots Town, netting three times in 24 appearances.

WOKING AWAY POSTCARD The only time I have ever been to Woking away has turned out to be a trip that will forever stand out in Barnet FC history because it was our last game of football before lockdown. This always makes me even happier to have been there and I am so glad we our season ended up finishing on such a high. Despite me only having one visit to the Laithwaite Community Stadium, it was one that has certainly given me many good memories. I’m still not really sure where Woking exactly is but the fact I could get a direct train from London for our Tuesday night fixture pleased me. Once I had my bearings, I did enjoy the walk to their ground from the station. It may not be as scenic as others but the nice little park did make it a more enjoyable one. I was not, however, such a big fan of how hard it was to cross the road to get into their ground! Although the whole game was amazing, something that really stands out to me from this game was Josh Walker’s performance that evening. Not only did he score 2 goals, but all the buzz in the away end was around him as he really proved he had the potential to be one of the greatest finishers in the league. Although I loved both of his goals, his second one in the 93rd minute stood out because of the way he executed his finish so calmly, despite having 2 defenders and their goalkeeper to beat. Even though the rain was pouring, everyone was in high spirits that evening, showing lots of love to Darren Currie and the players after the final whistle. On the train back to London after the game, there was a feeling amongst us fans that the playoffs were in sight and we were on our way! We weren’t wrong and we made it, just not in the way any of us would’ve expected at the time. It’s crazy to look back now knowing just 4 days later our game was postponed due to Covid and the country was in lockdown 6 days after. Given the circumstances I was gutted when watching Saturday’s game, wishing I could’ve been back in that steep away end. It made me miss Barnet away days even more! I’ll be honest, Saturday’s result didn’t quite match up to the elation of our last trip to Woking but I’m sure the players will be just as disappointed as us. I hope we can go out and show what we can do this evening.

Medy Elito AS A TEENAGER, ELITO PLAYED IN THE COLCHESTER ACADEMY. He signed a professional contract with the U’s in May 2007, after a successful time at youth level. Medy was given the number 30 shirt for the 2007–08 season and made his Colchester debut as a substitute in a 4–1 defeat away at Plymouth Argyle on 4th March 2008. On 29th March 2008, he scored his first professional goal, against West Brom in the Championship . Later the same year September 2009, Medy was granted a new twoyear contract by Colchester United. Elito signed a monthlong loan at Cheltenham Town on 5th March 2010 and made his debut against Chesterfield a day later. After the initial loan ended, The Robins extended his stay until the end of the season and during that time he managed to score 3 goals. In November 2010, Elito joined The Daggers on loan until 3rd January 2011. During his short term stay at Victoria Road he made 10 appearances and scored 2 goals. His debut for Dagenham came on the 13th November, as he scored in a 3–1 away win against Yeovil Town, although he seemed to impress on loan Colchester still did not think he was good enough so, Elito was once again sent on loan on the 25th February 2011, to Cheltenham Town until the end of the season only making just the 2 appearances for The Robins. Then, on the 28th April, Colchester announced that he would be one of three players who would be released at the end of the season. His time at his boyhood club had come to an end. On 28 June 2011, Elito went back to Victoria Road and signed for League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge on a two-year deal. He made 155 appearances netting 17 times. In 2014 Elito was released from his contract at Dagenham & Redbridge at his own request and was transferred to Dutch side VVV-Venlo in the Ereste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football.
the 72nd minute in a 3–0 defeat. Elito scored his first goal for Newport on 19th April 2016 against Oxford United. He was offered a new contract by Newport at the end of the 2015–16 season but the offer was withdrawn, and he was released after he failed to accept the contract by the deadline of 10th June 2016. Elito signed for Cambridge United on 13th June 2016. He scored his first goal for Cambridge in a 2–1 EFL Cup loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 23rd August 2016. Before being released at the end of the 2018 season, he made 55 appearances scoring 9 goals. He then took his talents back to London and joined his old manager John Still and The Bees on a two-year deal on 27 July 2018 making 40 appearances for the black and amber scoring twice. After his contract expired after our unsuccessful playoff run, he decided not to resign and since then the 30-year-old has not been at another football club. During his time at The Hive he always brought creativity to the pitch whether he came off the bench or started. He was a highly rated player, comfortable with both feet and could play in a range of positions. I loved watching him play sometimes he would pull out some remarkable skills and show real quality to beat a man and get out of very tight areas. During the Darren Currie era he was very important player, his most noticeable performance in a Barnet shirt was against Sheffield United where Medy played a major part in one of the best Barnet performances I have seen during my time as a fan.
Now he is better known as Don EE, alongside football Elito has a music career and since he has On 25 June 2015 Elito signed for League Two club not gone back into to football this season I would Newport . What’s the Buzz Josh Palmer
With the club finding themselves in 21st place in the National League table going into Saturday’s round of fixtures, Chesterfield have confirmed that manager John Pemberton has left the club. The former Crewe Alexandra, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Leeds United defender had only joined the club back in January, when John Sheridan had been sacked. Pemberton had previously been in charge of the Spireites during the 2018/19 season, after former Bees’ manager Martin Allen’s dismissal. Sheridan was dismissed back in January, with Pemberton only managing to guide the side to 20th place in the fifth tie, despite the side being in League 1 as recently as 2017.
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Keith Hill as their new first team manager. This comes after Mike Jackson was dismissed at the end of last month, having himself spent just three months in charge. The former Blackburn Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Rochdale man spent last season managing Bolton Wanderers, but only managed 6 wins in 33 games before the season was ended prematurely in March, resulting in the Trotters finishing bottom of League 1, and being relegated to League 2. He has also spent two separate spells, with a combined total of almost eleven years, managing at Rochdale, with a 6 month stint at Barnsley in between. He joins Rovers as they sit in13th place in League Two, following Saturday’s 5-0 smashing of Grimsby at Prenton Park, (of which Hill was not in charge), as well as finding themselves only two points off of the last playoff place.
This weekend has seen National League North side Boston United finally be given permission to play games in their new stadium. The club originally played at York Street, between 1933 and this year, when the ground closed. This news means that the club can now play their next home fixture at the ground, which is scheduled to be against Chorley on 5th December, which for obvious reasons will be played behind closed doors. The club’s new multi million pound facility, the Boston Community Stadium, known as the Jakemans Stadium for sponsorship reasons, has been approved by both the Boston Borough Council building control officers and the National League ground grading team. The start of this season as seen the Pilgrims play at the Northolme ground, home of Gainsborough Trinity.

Portsmouth manager Kenny Jacket has insisted that his side are not lining up a bid for Boreham Wood’s Sorba Thomas. The League 1 side have been heavily linked to the attacker in recent months, after his decent run of form. This comes after the Hertfordshire side rejected a bid for the player from Charlton Athletic last month. Jacket has insisted that he, nor the club, have even enquired about the 21 year old, and that he has not even been highlighted as a specific target. The Hampshire side currently sit in 4th place in League 1, just three points off of the top spot, as well as having the highest goal difference in the league, thanks to a 4-1 win over Crewe Alexandra at Fratton Park on Saturday. Meanwhile, Boreham Wood sit in 16th place in the National League.
Peter Brown, the chairman of Southern League Premier South side Chesham United, has said that the side will use their 266 mile round trip to Weston Super Mare in the FA Trophy first round as an “advantage”, especially in the middle of winter. The tie was due to be played on 2nd November, but was postponed along with all 36 other ties in the round due to government restrictions for the Coronavirus, so will therefore be played midweek at some point in the near future. Brown revealed that the game could potentially be played on the 8th December, exactly two weeks today, but this is could potentially change, subject to government guidelines.
This weekend has seen our rivals Wealdstone make a double signing, bringing in two new players. Firstly is Dean Parrett, with the 29 year old Hampstead born midfielder joining the side, having come through the academy at Tottenham Hotspur, before playing for the likes of Aldershot Town, Plymouth Argyle, Charlton Athletic, Yeovil Town, Swindon Town, AFC Wimbledon, Gillingham and Stevenage, as well as scoring 4 times in 26 youth appearances across various levels for England. Also arriving at Grosvenor Vale is Jayden Randell, a defender who has previously been on the books at the likes of Heybridge Swifts and Maidstone United.

Match Report 4 WOKING FC
Alexander McQueen had a decent effort on 21 minutes to halve the deficit, from a free kick, but his shot was held well by Craig Ross.
1 BARNET FC
THE BEES SUFFERED DEFEAT ON THE ROAD AS THEY LOST 4-1 AWAY TO WOKING. Woking were in front early on after a well taken volley from Kane Ferdinand found its way in the back of the net. It wasn’t long before they were 2-0 up after Jerome Binnom-Williams headed into his own net. The Bees were offered some hope when just before half-time, Charlie Cooper was sent off for the home side, for a second bookable offence. However, Woking furthered their lead, through Max Kretzschmar and added another thanks to Dave Tarpey. Michael Patrasso managed to get one back for the Bees, but it was merely a consolation.
HOW IT HAPPENED The Bees were looking to get back to winning ways as they faced a short away trip to Woking. They certainly showed an intent to put things right, starting the game on the front foot, controlling the ball well.
With 15 minutes of the half to go, the Cards were down to ten men. After being shown a yellow card for pulling on a shirt, Cooper received another one a minute later, after a strong challenge on Anthony Wordsworth. The man advantage inspired the Bees to take control of the game, pressuring the Woking defence with a number of corners. Binnom-Williams was looking to to put things right after the own goal and very nearly grabbed a goal when McQueen played a first time cross in and he just got a shot towards goal. This was before Wes Fonguck directed an effort just over as the visitors crept back into the game. Though the Bees were having the majority of the ball, as the game got back underway for the second half, they were struggling to break through the compact Woking defence. 15 minutes into the half, the Bees showed their first real threat since the break, when Mason-Clark held the ball well to make space for a shot, which just went over the Woking goal. Despite barely getting into the Bees half, Woking managed to get their third goal on 63 minutes from a corner, when Kretzschmar finished with a spectacular finish. Wordsworth nearly nicked a goal with about 20 minutes to go when he managed to nod a header from a Bees free kick, only for it to clip off the post. However, the Cards stretched even further in front with just under ten minutes to go, when Tarpey finished in the bottom corner. Patrasso finished from the penalty spot as the game came to a close, but it was simply just a consolation goal, as they left the Laithwaite Community Stadium with nothing.
Ephron Mason-Clark was the first to have a chance in the game, when Xander McBurnie drove through the midfield to play him in, pulling off a clean shot, which was needed saving.
Barnet FC Team:
However, it was Woking who would score first, two minutes later, when they broke quick from a free kick and Ferdinand finished with a volley.
Loach, Connors (Petrasso 55’), McQueen (Vasilou 78’), Hooper, Taylor, Fonguck (Faal 72’), McBurnie, Binnom-Williams, MasonClark, Nugent, Wordsworth
Things got worse ten minutes later when the home side doubled their lead with Binnom-Williams heading into his own net, from a Woking corner.
