Najwi´kszà zaletà konkursu by∏a ró˝norodnoÊç nades∏anych prac. W uj´ciu autorów komiksy przybierały formy od jak najbardziej realistycznych, po wszelkie odmiany stylizacji charakteryzujàce si´ mniej konwencjonalnym podejÊciem do tematu Powstania Warszawskiego. Jury było doÊç zgodne w wyborze Êcisłej czołówki. Na szczególnà uwag´ zasługuje praca zwyci´ska, zdecydowanie wyró˝niajàca si´ spoÊród wszystkich nadesłanych komiksów. 6

Powstanie Warszawskie na naszych oczach przenika do sfery mitu. Najlepszym przykładem jest oryginalna praca konkursowa Rafała Bàkowicza. Wielu odbiorcom takie przedstawienie wydarzeƒ z Powstania mo˝e wydawaç si´ niestosowne – opowieÊç Bàkowicza jest bowiem wybitnie popkulturowa rysunki i scenariusz: Rafa∏ Bàkowicz 01miejsce fotografia: Eugeniusz Lokajski i niesamowicie uwspółczeÊniona. Mówi jednak coÊ niezwykle wa˝nego o dzisiejszych odbiorcach mitu powstaƒczego. Po pierwsze, ˝e wyobra˝enia walki powstaƒczej u | Powstanie współczesnego, karmioWarszawskie ‘44 w komiksie | nego telewizjà i grami komputerowymi, odbiorcy sà cz´sto odmienne od rzeczywistoÊci historycznej, a po drugie, ˝e komiks potrafi w atrakcyjny sposób opowiedzieç o wa˝nych wydarzeniach. W tegorocznym konkursie nie był to jedyny wart uwagi komiks, co z punktu widzenia jurora jest bardzo krzepiàce.

Autorzy w niezwykle trafny sposób oddali atmosfer´ powstaƒczej Warszawy – dni pełnych nadziei i radoÊci, ale równie˝ zwàtpienia i ludzkich tragedii.
