Years before Lady Gaga’s scandalous meat dress worn on the 2010 MTV Awards there was bart plantenga’s 1990s story “Nina Hagen’s Carnivore Couture” detailing the outrageous show at a Lower Eastside club [was it Club 57?] where an MC-dominatrix named Blossom Dearie presented the evening’s fashion show “Carnivore Couture” by Nina Hagen, a student of Joseph Beuys.
