Vallecas, es conocida por su tradición obrera, contestataria y contracultural. Transgresora como popularmente se escribe su nombre: Vallekas y su refrescante Batalla Naval la cual nació hace 33 años con carácter reivindicativo. Vallecas, is known for its working, rebellious and countercultural tradition. Transgressive as its name is: Vallekas (the real name is Vallecas) and its refreshing Naval Battle which was born 33 years ago with a vindictive nature.

El Población española contenga un porcentaje de 86,4% (5.571.779) y el población extranjera 13,6% (876.493) como poblacion de rumania, marruecas, china, peru etc. El 88% de los extranjeros se sienten integrados en la sociedad madrileña. El 68% de los extranjeros y el 65% de los españoles creen que los extranjeros han encontrado algún tipo de obstáculos para lograr una mejor integración en la sociedad madrileña. Los principales obstáculos que se han encontrado los extranjeros en su camino hacia la integración son: dificultades con el idioma, discriminación social y diferencias culturales. The Spanish population contains a percentage of 86.4 % ( 5,571,779 ) and Foreign population 13.6 % ( 876,493 ) as population from Romania , Moroccan , China, Peru etc. The 88 % of foreigners are integrated into Madrid society . The 68 % of foreign and 65 % of Spaniards believe that foreigners found any obstacles to better integration into the society of Madrid . The main obstacles that foreigners found in its path towards integration are language difficulties , societal discrimination and cultural differences.

En el evento los protagonistas no eran sólo los participantes de afuera, sino también los vecinos del Barrio, que se abrem para el festival, lanzando agua desde sus ventanas, balcones y terrazas. Esto significa que el espacio urbano donde la batalla de agua se lleva a cabo se amplia alla de los edificios que se encuentran en su camino, lo que ayuda a unirse, en esta oportunidad única, una manifestación social de toda la ciudad con los verdaderos habitantes de Vallecas; que felices acojen a todas las personas en las cuales el agua de la batalla se cayo. ¿Cuál es el atuendo apropiado? cualquier tipo de “arma” de agua! porque ir armados es muy importante (cubos, globos de agua, pistolas de agua, aerosoles, regaderas, bombas de agua...) Además es importante que uses ropa vieja o trajes de baño, incluso puedes llevar máscaras o cualquier atuendo que te apetezca. What is the proper attire? any “weapon” of water! because it is very important to be armed (cubes, water balloons, water guns, sprays, showers, water pumps ...) It is also important to use old clothes or swimwear, you can even wear masks or any outfit you like. The important thing is to have fun and everyone ends soaked! In the event the players were not only participants from outside, but also the neighbors who live there , to enoy the festival , releasing water from their windows , balconies and terraces. This means that urban space where the battle of water is carried out beyond the buildings that are in the way , helping to join in this unique opportunity , a social manifestation of the whole city with the real people of the Vallecas ; that recivve with joy the water falling down from the buildings.

Debes tener en cuenta que el agua de tus armas no es inagotable, pero lo puede ser si te lo montas bien; lleva un cubo o un recipiente para que los vecinos los llenen de agua desde sus terrazas. Aquí te dejamos unas pequeñas instrucciones de recipiente-escudo-arma, fácil de hacer para la ocasión, un todo en uno. Mucha suerte y se el rey de la fiesta !
