Our process: The Bates Career Development Center (BCDC) surveyed the Class of 2015 at graduation and again in December 2015 to determine the students’ postgraduation plans. Ninety percent of the class participated in the survey. Data was collected through email, social media, and a pen-and-paper survey administered when seniors collected their caps and gowns just prior to graduation.

Testimonials

ZACH POLICH ’15 Interned with TM Capital Corp., Boston, Mass. Investment Banking Summer Analyst

“Being in a situation where you are expected to participate in meetings, give formal presentations, and hold yourself to a high standard is an extremely valuable learning experience for any college student.” CALEB BUCK ’15

“[This internship] made the idea of working after graduation a lot more real and accessible.” JEYNA DIALLO ’15

“[I liked] feeling a connection to Bates [and] helping someone think about their future career, and how their studies may apply to the work world.”

“The internship not only lived up to my expectations but also exceeded them. I was given responsibilities and tasks that would normally be completed by analysts. I wasn’t given back office work, but rather was started on live deals that were directly relevant to the firm’s tasks.”
