PROJECT GOALS:

• Maximize potential of a difficult site to provide transitoriented affordable housing development. Included working with adjacent site owner and 3 levels of local government to allow for shared site access points.

• Maintain outdoor amenity space for resident use.

• Hold focus groups with partner organizations representing future residents to design for culturally specific needs (unit types) and greater accessibility (product selections, unit layouts).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design of all Unit Types, taking previous office standards, adjusting to create modular unit widths for more flexibility laying out typical levels, and adjusted details according to focus group feedback with prospective residents.

• Design responses to stakeholder feedback and site challenges, including site access restrictions, required site dedication/ROW improvements, and multiple utility coordination challenges.

• Developed facade panel layout to accommodate Project Architect’s intent. Specific efforts made to reduce waste from cut panels and optimize window spacing for ease of installation.

• Work with SDL to determine appropriate envelope assemblies
