Timandra Harkness 7:30pm for 8:00pm show | Rondo Theatre | TICKETS: £12/£10 concs | 01225 463362 Men read maps better, but women read emotions - say some brain scientists. Is the secret of human behaviour inside our skulls? Can neuroscience explain why Timandra throws like a girl but thinks like a bloke? You’ll never look at your anterior cingulate cortex the same way again. Or a map. After a successful Edinburgh Fringe run in 2013, Timandra Harkness brings her one-woman show Brainsex to Bath. It’s a mixture of science fun and fact, designed to appeal to adults but suitable for all ages and backgrounds. You don’t need Science GCSEs to enjoy the irreverent mix of comedy, video, songs, gameshows & live experiments on the audience.

Saturday 5th April Silky Explains Parents to Children 1:00pm for 1:30pm show (1hr) | Bath Cricket Club | TICKETS: £5 | 0800 411 8881 They’re noisy, messy, embarassing, pains in the bum, and to top it all, they’re emotionally clumsy (if not outand-out needy). Saturday 5th April Henry Blofeld - TMS And All That 3:30pm for 4:00pm show (1hr 20mins + book signing) | Bath Cricket Club | TICKETS: £14 | 0800 411 8881 No one’s views are more prickly and earth-shatteringly funny. The pompous, the politically correct, the prancing popinjays on every platform of life, are kicked unceremoniously into touch. The name-dropping starts with Ian Fleming in Jamaica and The Master, Noel Coward. Dear old ‘Don’t panic, Mr Mainwaring’, Clive Dunn was a friend, plus Laurence Olivier and Alec Guinness. Perhaps the tour de force is a story about the old family doctor. By the end, the entire audience is both Shaken and Stirred and positively itching for more. “Blowers” is one of the best loved sports journalists of all time. With his unmistakably fruity tones and his delightfully idiosyncratic observations, both on and off the cricket field, Blowers has become a national institution.
Jem Roberts - Songs That Do Eventually Stop 7:00pm show (1hr) | St James Wine Vaults | TICKETS: £3 on the door The Daddy of The Unrelated Family, Bath’s greatest comedy weirdoes, presents a whole early evening of his own distinct musical filth – with side orders of infantile satire and just plain wrongness. If you’ve ever been young, listless, and unsure: come listen to some Real Talk.
