Physical Factors | Building Typology When comparing the urban patterns in Amman, we find that the pattern used in the modern Abdali commercial area is represented by the use of new architectural materials and the linear façade style, while avoiding the use of traditional arches for openings and the proposed interfaces of the Abdali project. The common commercial pattern is the use of local materials and the use of traditional arches for openings. The void ratio is minimal.

Land use Most of the buildings surrounding the site are residential and commercial buildings, which means that we must take into account the privacy and comfort of the residents before the design process, by providing service spaces for residents and commercial areas, for example, adding activities and playgrounds for families, providing recreational areas for them and helping commercial areas to increase the vitality of the area.

Solid & Void you can see the area adjacent to the site as it is considered a rather congested urban area, compared to the open, un-built area, the solid area percentage is 85% regardless of the area of the surrounding streets. According to the above, taking advantage of the project site and making it an outlet for the region by increasing the percentage of vegetation and linking roads between neighboring areas through it helps to create a nature that helps reduce carbon dioxide levels and ventilation operations and raise oxygen levels, which reflects the psychological comfort of the residents and visitors of the area.

3. Taking the slope of the ground into consideration when designing
2. Collect rainwater in a reservoir below the ground for future use
4. Take advantage of the high slope of the land, which reaches forty meters, as it is possible to build in a hidden manner with the gradient of the site
