et a course for family fun on Saturday, Oct. 9, when Celebration Seabrook takes over Meador Park in Seabrook for a day of music, food and art. Celebrating the best of coastal living, this familyfriendly festival features the Ahoy Kids’ Zone, gourmet food trucks and a full slate of live music, headlined by Sam Riggs. “We are super excited to announce this year’s music lineup for Celebration Seabrook,” said Seabrook Director of Community and Visitor Relations LeaAnn Petersen. “Sam Riggs and Holly Beth are two up-and-coming musicians who have taken Texas by storm. Plus, we look forward to announcing a local celebrity who will also be joining us for this year’s event.” Title sponsor for the festival is Chesapeake Bay Luxury Active Adult Living, located in Seabrook.

Celebration Seabrook truly has something for everyone with over 40 vendors registered for this year’s event. The Ahoy Kids’ Zone is the centerpiece of Celebration Seabrook’s familyfriendly activities. “Kids of all ages will love the Kids’ Zone,” Petersen said. “They can get their faces painted, bounce the day away in our bounce houses or even ride a mechanical shark!” Additional activities in the Ahoy Kids’ Zone include arts and crafts, balloon animals and caricatures. “Thanks to the sponsorship of CobbFendley there is no admission charge for the Ahoy Kids’ Zone,” she said. More than half a dozen food trucks will be available at Celebration Seabrook, offering everything from cajun favorites to snow cones and tacos. Wine and craft beer will be available for purchase as well. Seabrook’s popular pelicans will be posing for selfies throughout the day and muralist Shelbi Nicole will be continuing her compelling mu-

rals at Meador Park’s skate park. “At the 2019 Celebration Seabrook, the chalk artists were incredibly popular, so we’ve decided to invite them back for 2021,” Petersen said. Local artists, merchants and other vendors will create a unique shopping experience inside the Merchant Village and Artist Pavilion. Tickets and more information, including a full schedule of live music, are available at www. CelebrationSeabrook.com. Tickets are $5 at the gate or you can purchase tickets in advance. Children 10 and under are free and there is no charge for children’s activities. Leashed dogs are always welcome. Besides title sponsor Chesapeake Bay Luxury Active Adult Living, additional sponsors include CobbFendley, the Seabrook Economic Development Corp., Gulf Winds International, Gulf Coast Limestone, Beacon Federal Credit Union, the Seabrook Association, Resort Vacations Inc. and BOK Financials.
