Steadfast Support for Baylor

Even though her daughter, Sarah ’18, attended Baylor as a boarding student for four years, Pamela Talley’s enthusiastic support of the school has not faded.

A resident of Atlanta, Pamela served on the Parent Alliance board. She frequently attended boarding open house events where she loved talking to prospective families about Baylor and the boarding school experience. “I was also involved in various all-school activities such as planning class parties, making calls to alumni, parents, and friends of Baylor, and even bringing food for “Faculty Appreciation Day” to support the teachers, staff, and administration for their commitment and the wonderful work they do with the students.”

Sarah is now a senior at Elon University, and Pamela is grateful for how Baylor prepared her daughter for college and more. “Baylor built her confidence, nurtured her intellectually, helped her to thrive and develop self-awareness of what she wanted to major in, and supported her whenever she wanted to try new things. I know without a doubt that what Sarah gained as a boarding student while at Baylor was a ‘one-of-a-kind’ opportunity.”

Because of Sarah’s wonderful experience, Pamela still assists the admission office by attending information sessions and open house events in the metro-Atlanta area. She also feels it’s important to give to The Baylor Fund each year. “The Baylor Fund not only supports a beautiful state-of-the art campus where students are actively learning and building lifelong friendships, but it also ensures there is ample funding for academic programming, the fine arts, athletics, and building scholarship opportunities for students who want to attend Baylor and gain a stellar education that will carry them into college and beyond.”

As a former Baylor parent, there is one more thing Pamela thinks others should know when considering a gift to The Baylor Fund. “No matter how large or small, their gift is wellstewarded, truly appreciated, and goes toward ensuring that the needs of students are always met.”
