Aquaponics: Yes Or No? By Kaylise McClure
Are you always going to the store and the fruits and vegetable are so expensive? Do you want to find a easy way to farm at home with a little space needed? Well you should try aquaponics.
tank, fish stands, clarifiers, biofilters, and an oxygen system. The other 5 things are pumps, sundries, and of course water. You will also need Tilapia fish and plant seeds. And there you have it, your own aquaponics system!
Once you know how to use aquaponics, you could start to raise fish and plants in your own backyard. In fact more and more people are trying it. This is the process the fish go through to make the fruits and vegetables.
What is Aquaponics?
This is one way to set up your aquaponics system at home.
What Equipment Do You Need? There is just one thing you need to do aquaponics. IT’S THE EQUIPMENT!!!! There are only 10 things you need for equipment, unlike traditional farming which needs lots of equipment. Some of the things you need are a large fish
There are a lot of different kinds of farming, but one way is a combination of fish farming and hydroponics. This is called aquaponics. Aquaponics is fish and plant production. The aquaponics cycle is when the fish produce waste, then microbes and worms convert waste to fertilizer for the plants, and finally the plants filter the water that will return to all the fish and the cycle keeps on going over and over again.
Why Do Farmers Use Aquaponics? Ever wonder why farmers use aquaponics? They use it because you do not need a lot of space on land and the system recycles the water over and over again. Also aquaponics is twice as fast in producing food. For example aquaponics is faster than GMOs. There is no weeding and they do not use soil at all, so you can save resources. As you can see aquaponics is an easy and ecofriendly way to farm. Unlike GMOs or organic farming, aquaponics recycles the system. Aquaponics is a fairly new system of food production, but it will grow fast and become a great new way to farm.
