Meet Molly! This adorable chihuahua cross is a new Canadian looking for her forever home! Recently rescued by Saving Grace Dog Rescue from an extremely high number kill shelter in Los Angeles, California. Sadly the Chihuahua breed are the second highest number of dogs put death in this region due to their very large numbers. However, Molly and over 20 friends have been saved by this Vernon based rescue. Over 15 are still up for adoption and are currently in foster homes thru out the valley. Founded by a lifelong passionate animal lover Kimberly Gillis of whom took notice that there was no existing dog rescue in the Vernon area. Saving Grace Dog Rescue has a main goal of helping local dogs, however the rescue could not ignore the fact that in the Okanagan there is relatively small population of these precious little ones and bringing them here would give them a fighting chance at life. Saving Grace is holding a garage sale September 6th to help with veterinarian costs and is seeking donations and volunteers for this event.
