Bucks, in partnership with Construction Experts, Inc., offers several online construction certificates. Construction Experts classes are organized into a number of certificate programs to help students achieve their educational and career goals. Course times are scheduled year-round to be compatible with your work commitments. Each course meets online for ten weeks. Discussions using an online bulletin board afford the opportunity to examine everyday construction challenges shared by others in the construction industry. The PA Department of Education requires that all collegiate courses & non-credit professional education classes that will be used for Act 48 credits are related to an area of the professional educator’s assignment or certification. We are currently offering courses online through our collaboration with Ed2Go. In order to receive Act 48 hours for an Ed2go class, you must complete all 12 lessons in a class. Classes under the category of Teacher Professional Development are approved for Act 48 hours. Please check our website at http://https//www.bucks.edu/businesscareer/educators/ for the Pennsylvania Department of Education Act 48 Guidelines. To receive Act 48 hours for a credit or non-credit course or to check if your course qualifies for Act 48 hours, please email elena.lydon@bucks.edu before registering. Approved

Certificate in Teaching Adults This is your invitation to teach others in-person and join in one of the more important functions in life - passing on knowledge and skills to others. Parent Transition from High School to College

You will learn the general transition process from the secondary education system to the higher education system for students. The collaboration of the parents, the student and the IEP team will be discussed with the expectations for students and the new role that parents play when students enter the higher education system. Effective IEP Writing Core Competencies for College Skills

You will learn the general transition process from the secondary education system to the higher education system for students. The Difference Between High School and College IDEA vs ADA

You will learn the general transition differences between the secondary education system to the higher education system for students. Metacognition Strategies to Support Neurodivergent Students

Stand Up and Improv for Teachers

Teachers and comedians have more in common than you probably think. The ability to read the room, deal with distractions, and maintain audience attention are skills that are useful on stage and in the classroom. In this workshop designed for teachers, you will learn and practice exercises used by comedians to help deliver course content and lesson plans entertainingly. These skills can help you to increase student engagement and improve classroom management techniques. Bring your most boring lesson plans and learn to directly apply comedy fundamentals and receive immediate feedback.
