Caregiving for Families Managing Dementia
Beth Allen, RN, former nursing director of a retirement community, teaches families strategies for managing a loved one with dementia. You will learn a basic explanation of the 4 main types of dementia, the early signs and symptoms, diagnostic testing, communication strategies, home safety, patient advocacy and disease progression. You will review of commonly used medications, self-care tips for caregivers and community resources for successful management of your loved one. At the end of the program, you will have a knowledge of facility-based options for dementia patients and what you need to ask and know before making a move to memory care. Certified End of Life Specialist Online Course (CEOLS) (30 hrs.)

Dental Assisting Hybrid Program (100 hrs.)
You will be prepared for entry level positions in one of the fastest growing health care professions. The purpose of this course is to familiarize you with all areas of pre-clinical dental assisting and provide training in the professional skills required to function as an assistant in the dental practice. Additionally, this course is designed to prepare you to sit for the DANB Radiology Health and Safety Examination (RHS). The cost of this exam is $250 and is not included as part of the cost of this program. The DANB exam is administered at Pearson Vue Centers.
