Is the business world calling to you? Do you want to develop skills that will give you a powerful toolbox for working in wide variety of business environments? You could earn a Management Certificate in Accounting or Finance in as little as two to three years. This credential can be built on to earn a Senior Certificate, then a Diploma of Technology in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Planning. Diploma graduates can then go on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Technology in Accounting degree. Additionally, the majority of Financial Management courses are transferable to professional accounting bodies. We also offer programs leading directly to professional credentials, such as the Associate Certificate in Financial Planning and the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)™ Exam Preparation course.

FiNaNciaL pLaNNiNG–aSSociate ceRtiFicate bcit.ca/585iacert In response to the changes implemented in July 2010, by the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC), towards the CFP (Certified Financial Planner™) program, BCIT has introduced an updated Associate Certificate in Financial Planning program. This change meets the updated CFP program academic requirements. Students pursuing the CFP program will be expected to take FMGT 4911 (Capstone Course for CFP Certification), to meet the requirements of the CFP program changes. For more information on the changes to the CFP program or about becoming a CFP, please visit the FSPC CFP website: fpsc.ca/cfp-certification.
