14.1. Meeting Called to Order The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson, Erin Smith, at 5:50 pm. (24 voting members) 14.2. General Reports Executives & Director • Erin states the following: Travel Log session has been cancelled. Models are needed for BCIT promotional photographs. The commitment is approximately 4 hours on May 4 or 11. Contact Erin if interested. Students are needed to conduct a study on Student Exam Stress. Contact Erin if interested. There will be a car club sale. Clubs will be available at a reduce rate in the Great Hall on May 10th. Today’s voter turn-out was 145 voters. Polling clerks are still needed.

Questions Period (5 min.) • Raj has some concerns about a security guard swearing and not addressing students politely about not having their one card after 11:00pm. After being on campus for two years, Raj was not aware of such policies. Erin will look into this matter. • Karen would like to know about the start time of the Result Party. Results should be available at 4:00 pm. • Amy inquires about the closure of a window during a pub security guard taking his break. Erin will inquire. • Sarah would like to know if tech and set reps were emailed about the election. Erin confirms that all were contacted. • Lee-Ann would like to know if voters need their one card. Erin states that this rule is bounded by the Association by-laws. • Ashley would like to know if hairdressers have an opportunity to promote if they donate their time during Cut for the Cure. Karen confirms that their name can appear on the poster.

Joined contract talks with Gallivan & Associates. Assisting Erin and Caroline. Meeting April 27th. Maintaining student access to health and dental “networks”. Working with a rep from Kwantlen to ensure BCIT students still have discounted services available to them. No updates at this time. Reviewing the BCITSA budget with our controller. Budget will be tabled and voted on at the May 9th meeting.
Extension has been provided by the BOG until May 20. Working as a member of the Pub Operating Committee to implement safety & security procedures. Also reviewing the necessary patio upgrades. Set Photos will be available at the Uconnect later this week. Grad photos (individual) will be taken first week of May. Sign up at Uconnect. Meeting with Bill Howorth (Chair of EdCo) and current EdCo student reps to finalize details regarding support and resources the BCITSA can provide to them. i.e website space, reporting to Council once a month. - In discussions with Bryan Fair to ensure everything that should be in there is -
