Summary The Bartender is responsible for providing a great customer experience for those eating at the pub and to ensure that their professionalism contributes to the overall success of the pub. The Bartender reports to the Pub Manager. Job Duties Customer Service
Greet customers, take food orders efficiently and make modifications correctly, and serve customers' orders in an efficient manner Inform customers of food specials, soup of the day, drink specials, special events, and promotions Ensure customers are always pleased and satisfied with their food, drink, and service Continuously monitor customers to ensure that no one is being over served Ensure that customers pay bills, find where they change seats, tables, they forget their books, bags, coats, computers, cards, etc. Assist other servers, bartenders with problems with each other and with customers, and kitchen Respond to customers’ requests and complaints Maintain orderly working stations and clean menus/tables Ensure that the pub is a safe environment Make sure quality of service matches customers’ expectations Inform management about difficulties with patrons and service
Cash Handling and Micros Station Process all customers' orders through Micros station prior to bringing food/drinks at the table Carry out sales transactions through preferred method of payment (i.e. cash, debit, credit card, gift certificate) and sometimes other servers' orders Perform cash out duties as required by policies Transform group sales to individual billing Stock Inventory Fill and clean all condiments (fruit container) and ice well Stock food supplies (napkins, coffee, tea, milk, cutlery, soup supplies)
