Summary
The Cook is responsible for providing a great customer experience for customers eating at the pub and to ensure that their professionalism contributes to the overall success of the pub. The Cook reports to the Kitchen Supervisor. Job Duties Kitchen Duties and Catering
Prepare food, menu items, daily soups, specials, and other food necessary for daily operations Make food efficiently and make sure other cooks understand chits Ensure that kitchen products meet presentation standards Put catering meals together and make sure that recipes are given to office for input Set up and take down line daily Ensure that working areas and all equipment are clean after usage meeting health standards Ensure that temperatures of product and quality of product meet health standards Wash dishes Empty and clean deep fryer with fryer cleaner, empty oil into container outside, call for oil pick-up when container almost full
Product Offering
Check for expiry dates and quality of products Check that food is rotated properly and stored properly (i.e. meat separated from produce, cooked separated from raw) Label and date, discard and document anything that should be labelled and/or discarded Operational Duties
Remove garbage Ensure quality control Ensure that the kitchen meets cleaning compliances Other Related Duties
Support student executives and staff members for their respective initiatives
