Summary

The Server is responsible for providing great customer service and ensuring that their professionalism contributes to the overall success of Professor Mugs Pub. The Server reports to the Pub Manager. Job Duties Customer Service

 Greet customers, take food orders efficiently and make modifications correctly, and serve customers' orders quickly  Inform customers of food specials, soup of the day, drink specials, special events, and promotions  Ensure customers are always pleased and satisfied with their food, drink, and service  Continuously monitor customers to ensure that no one is being over served  Ensure that customers pay bills, find where they change seats, tables, they forget their books, bags, coats, computers, cards etc.  Respond to customers’ requests and complaints  Maintain orderly working stations and clean menus/tables  Ensure that the pub is a safe environment  Make sure quality of service matches the customers’ expectations  Inform management about difficulties with staff, patrons, and service Cash Handling and Micros Station

 Process customers' orders through Micros station prior to bringing food/drinks to the table  Carry out sales transactions through preferred method of payment (i.e. cash, debit, credit card, gift certificate) and sometimes other servers' orders  Perform cash out duties as required by policies  Transform group sales to individual billing Stock Inventory

 Ensure that items (ramekins, dressing, takeout containers, etc.) used daily by servers are filled up  Fill and clean all condiments (salt and pepper, ramekins)  Stock food supplies (napkins, coffee, tea, milk, cutlery, soup supplies)

 Remove garbage  Set up for reservations Other Related Duties

 Support Student Executives and staff members in their respective initiatives  Assist other staff in their duties (run food, bus table, do dishes, make drinks, seat people with their menus) when pub is busy Supplementary Information

 Requires some evening and weekend shifts  May be asked to deal with inebriated and sometimes violent customers Education and Experience (Minimum Requirement)

 High School Diploma or equivalent  Serving it Right Certificate  Six months experience
