INSCRIPCIÓN
1.
Cancelar el costo del examen de $452.000 en nuestra oficina, ubicada en la Cra 9 No. 76 – 49 Piso 5, los lunes a partir de las 1400 – 1900 y de martes a viernes de 0700 a 1900. Los sábados de 0900 a 1500. Puedes realizar el pago con tarjeta débito, crédito (Visa o MasterCard) o cheque. Por razones de seguridad No recibimos efectivo.

Si deseas, puedes traer el formulario diligenciado que lo podrás encontrar a partir de la página 8 de este documento, o nosotros te lo podemos facilitar una vez vengas.
3.
Debes traer DOS fotos recientes, tamaño pasaporte fondo blanco y fotocopia de la cédula ampliada.
4.
La inscripción se debe realizar antes de la fecha límite indicada en la página 6 de este documento. CUPO LIMITADO British Council se reserva el derecho de prorrogar la presentación de su examen si no se presentan suficientes candidatos en cualquiera de las fechas programadas.

CONFIRMACIÓN
› El día de tu inscripción te será entregada una carta informativa que confirma tu inscripción al examen.
CITACIÓN
› Aproximadamente una semana antes del examen, nosotros te estaremos enviando a tu correo electrónico tu citación al examen. En ésta, podrás encontrar el horario para cada una de las partes del examen.
EN EL DÍA DEL EXAMEN
› Debes presentar la misma identificación que presentaste en el momento de registrarte al examen.
› Es importante llegar mínimo 20 minutos antes de la hora del examen. › Debes llevar tu documento de identidad, lápiz, borrador y tajalápiz.
RESULTADOS
›
Los resultados están disponibles a los diez días hábiles después de haber presentado el examen. El reporte de tu resultado se enviará al correo electrónico dado al momento de inscribirse.
DIPLOMA
› El departamento de exámenes del British Council te notificará a través de un correo electrónico o vía telefónica cuando llegue tu diploma del examen enviado desde el Reino Unido, el cual se entrega aproximadamente un mes después de la fecha del examen.
› Por favor, tener en cuenta que solo se entrega una copia del diploma. › En la eventualidad de no poder recoger el diploma personalmente, puedes enviar a una persona con la debida carta de autorización y fotocopia de tu cédula.

PARA TENER EN CUENTA: HEAVY O LIGHT? Al momento de diligenciar la aplicación, debes especificar en qué contexto actualmente estás involucrado en operaciones aeronáuticas. Las categorías de heavy o Light fueron hechas como una forma para ayudarte a seleccionar una prueba que se adapte en un contexto de aviación con los cuales estés familiarizado. •
Light: Generalmente se refiere a aeronaves pequeñas, de un solo motor generalmente para uso privado. No comercial : 7.000 Kg (15.000 libras) o menos

Heavy: Generalmente refiriéndose a una aeronave más grande, de varios motores. Generalmente para uso comercial, No privado 136.000 Kg o más. (BOIENG 767, 777, 747)(AIRBUS 330, 340)

Fixed-wing: Se refiere a las aeronaves cuyas alas no son giratorias.
•
Rotary-wing: se refiere a las aeronaves con un rotor que ayudan al elevamiento (e.j helicópteros, gyrocopters, etc)
REPETICIÓN Por regulaciones de la Aeronáutica Civil, puede repetir el examen 8 semanas (dos meses) después de haber presentado el examen según lo estipulado en el punto 2.3.4 de la Resolución No. 00602. “2.3.4. COPIA DE RESULTADOS Si deseas una copia adicional de tu certificado debe cancelar el valor de 30 libras a la tasa del día y hacer la solicitud a exams@britishcouncil.org.co . Nosotros te notificaremos una vez se encuentre en nuestra oficina para reclamarlo. APELACIÓN DE RESULTADO En caso de que no te encuentres satisfecho con su resultado, puedes apelar a este. Este proceso debe hacerse dentro de las 6 semanas de haber presentado el examen. Para hacer la solicitud debes contactarnos y entregar una carta diligenciada por un experto en cuestiones aeronáuticas o lingüísticas justificando el porqué el resultado obtenido no es el correcto y el formulario de apelación diligenciado que nosotros te entregaremos al momento de hacer la solicitud. Este proceso tiene un costo de 75 libras. REEMBOLSOS Y TRANSFERENCIAS • En caso de no presentar el examen una vez ya realizada la inscripción, se podrá realizar un reembolso del 75% del examen con soporte documentado. • En caso de no poder presentar el examen en la fecha inscrita, deberás informarnos con un mínimo de 5 días hábiles antes de la fecha del examen escrito y cancelar $75.000 pesos colombianos por cada transferencia. Accessing and amending your personal data The information provided in this application form will be processed and stored by Central EALTS Administration. The information is stored for the purposes of identity verification, language assessment administration and statistical analysis of the EALTS for research, development and reporting purposes. I undertake to abide by the regulations contained therein. • I understand that should another person or persons attempt to sit the test of the EALTS for which I am applying in my place (i.e. in the place of the person whose details appear on this application form), I, the applicant, and such person or persons attempting to impersonate me will be liable to prosecution. • I understand that, subject to arrangement with the test centre through which I am applying, the full test fee must be paid at the time of application. I further understand that I will be charged the full test fee if I postpone or cancel my test within 48 hours of the test date, unless I am able to provide appropriate and reasonable mitigating evidence to support the postponement or cancellation within 5 days of the test date. I understand that in such an event, no refund of the test fee will be made but my test date will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient date and time. • I understand that if I attempt in any way to disrupt the test, to copy, effect or remove from the test rooms, or attempt to copy effect or remove from the test rooms, any test materials, to impersonate others, to cheat in any way or to do anything that might adversely effect the integrity and/or security of the EALTS, including attempting to influence the assessment of the examiners by unfair means, I will not receive a result for the test, my test fee will not be refunded and I may be liable to prosecution. Disclaimer: It is the intention of the test partners that the tests of the English for Aviation Language Testing System (the EALT and the ICAO ELSA) be made available to all persons worldwide, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality or religion; however, the tests are not recommended to persons who are not involved or experienced in aircraft operations or operational aeronautical communications. A test-taker’s EALTS language proficiency assessment is to be interpreted only as an assessment of that test-taker’s language proficiency as demonstrated on the day of the test. Overall EALTS language proficiency assessments of ICAO Operational Level 4 or Extended Level 5 have a fixedterm validity of 3 and 6 years respectively. It is known from experience and practical observation that loss in language proficiency can occur over time. This language loss can occur due to a variety of factors but for individuals who do not regularly use or in other ways maintain their second or foreign language over a period of time, deterioration in proficiency to some degree is a common experience. To counter the possible consequences of this potential loss of proficiency over time, Annexes 6 and 11 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation stipulate that service providers and aircraft operators should maintain oversight of their personnel’s operational language proficiency on a continuous basis between formal language assessments and emphasise the requirement for on the job monitoring of the communicative competence of personnel. The EALTS has been specifically designed to preclude it from being used as the sole arbitrating factor considered by government agencies, national or regulatory authorities, air navigation service providers, aircraft operators, training institutions or others in determining whether or not an individual has the language proficiency in English in the context of aeronautical communications required of operational pilots and/or air traffic control officers. The EALTS is to be considered as only one of a range of evidences of communicative competence required in the determination of an individual’s demonstration of the language proficiency for professional licensing purposes; other evidences considered might include such as the following: R/T license attainment, instructor or supervisor assessments, classroom or simulator performance, on-the-job evaluations, documented time in English educational or work environments and other job-related interviews. CAA International Ltd, Language Testing and Assessment Services Ltd and any other party involved in the creation, production or delivery of the EALTS shall not be liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, special, punitive, or similar damages (including liability arising by reason of negligence and liability in respect of consequential losses or loss of profits) arising out of access to, use of, acceptance by, or interpretation of the results arrived at by the mechanism of the EALTS by any third party, or any errors or omissions in the content thereof.
