What are ?
T Levels are vital to the Government’s ambitious programme to provide the technical expertise for the jobs of the future. They’re exciting new courses developed specifically with employers to ensure students learn relevant and current practices from the industry sector that interests them the most.
Equivalent to three A Levels, they are technical-based qualifications that prepare students for work or higher education. They include an extensive industry placement of 315 hours, which is equivalent to nine weeks or 45 days over the two years, guaranteeing students benefit from a solid introduction to the workplace.
At Burnley College, we’re constantly investing in new infrastructure and equipment to ensure learners receive a cutting-edge curriculum.

Employer Testimonial
“T Levels are a great way for us to offer tailored work experience to Students that are directly studying towards our field of work. We have found that Burnley College’s T Level Students are genuinely engaged with the work and are keen to learn.
“Our line of work has a serious shortage of skilled workers and T-levels will bridge the gap & bring through the next line of surveyors and engineers needed in such a vital job.”
Samuel Knott Operations Director, Site Surveying Services Ltd
What our Students say
“One of the real strengths of studying a T Level is the opportunity to work alongside experts in an actual workplace.
“I’ve been out on real building sites, making plans and 3D models, surveying and more, using the equipment that professional use. Combining that with classroom theory means both the academic and practical sides are covered.”

“It’s amazing to see the children developing personally and educationally, getting to know them and following their journey throughout a full school year.
“I will be leading group sessions while being observed, so I will be planning and analysing sessions from start to finish, which give me great real-life experience of the role I want to do.”
