10 Years of Building our Future At The Bank & Trust, we’ve worked hard over the past decade to give back to the community that has given us its business and trust! Over the past 10 years, we have supported local non-profits, our schools and other worthwhile causes through donations totaling more than $1 million. The youth in our community are our future leaders and together, we will continue to grow!

Dear Brazos County Youth Livestock Show Exhibitors, Parents and Supporters As in the past, the 2019 Brazos County Youth Livestock Show and Sale is anticipated by numerous 4-H and FFA members from throughout Brazos County. On behalf of the show management, I would like to extend a sincere welcome to all of our participants. As you can see, our BCYLS Rule Book continues to improve and be more user friendly. This is to help you, the exhibitor, parent and volunteer to more easily understand all of the requirements and guidelines concerning exhibition of projects. Additionally, you should note page 14 for important rule changes for the 2019 show.
To successfully plan for an educational activity, many hours of work are donated by all of our volunteers and supporters. A sincere thank you goes out to these people and we look forward to the 2019 show’s success. Please feel welcome, good luck and we’ll see you at the Brazos County Exposition Complex on March 16 through March 23, 2019!

A note from BCYLS 2018 Queen Howdy! As the 2018 BCYLS Queen, it is my privilege to announce that the 63rd Annual Brazos County Youth Livestock Show is upon us . Everything kicks off Saturday, March 16 with the Queen’s Dance featuring The Emotions and the crowning of the 2019 Queen . Then join us for a week of livestock shows and exhibits . The winning projects will be sold at the Commercial Steer Auction Tuesday, March 19 at noon and the Premium Auction on Saturday, March 23 at 6 p .m . Serving as the 2018 BCYLS Queen, I have had the opportunity to see the friendships, support and pride through each exhibitor’s eyes . It is truly amazing to see the hard work that is put into each and every one of the projects, and the pride that exuded from all that are involved . As a graduating senior who has been a member of the Wixon Valley 4-H Club since I was nine, I can honestly say my experiences through 4-H, FFA and the youth livestock show have had a huge impact on my life . Through these programs I gained a fondness of the livestock industry which has taught me to grow and prosper in any given environment . I have also learned the importance of giving back to my community and developing future generations of leaders that will be instrumental in continuing these important programs we have for the youth livestock industry . Graduating this year, I retired my career as a showman . As hard as it was to close this chapter of my life, I can tell you that through the 10 years I have been involved in this industry, it has prepared me for the upcoming challenges I will face . I plan to continue my passion advocating for the agriculture industry as I complete my first year at Texas A&M and I know my experiences have prepared me for this
challenge . I would encourage all youth to get involved in your local 4-H club or FFA chapter to see all the opportunities it can afford you . The lessons learned and skills you will take from these programs will help you not only in your current goals, but also in your future career, whether that be in an agricultural field or not . I want to personally thank every FFA Advisor, Ag Teacher, 4-H Club Leader, County Extension agent, parent, grandparent or friend who guides and mentors youth throughout their project . Without this leadership, many youth would not be able to experience all that a livestock project has to offer . Also, thank you to the BCYLS board members, committee chairs and volunteers that give of their time to make the show and sale happen each year . Each volunteer, sponsor, and buyer is critical to the success of the BCYLS show and ultimately the exhibitors . The success of the show simply would not be possible without each and every one of you . It was truly an honor to serve as your 2018 Brazos County Youth Livestock Show Queen . Although my participation as an exhibitor has come to an end, I plan to continue my involvement in BCYLS as a volunteer . I hope to make an impact on other youth just as so many adults have impacted my life . I will see you this year at the 2019 show! Yours Truly,
Lauren Hillert 2018 BCYLS Queen

Scholarship winners must take a minimum of 12 hours for the 2019 fall semester with proof of their registration and payment provided to the BCYLA secretary before the recipient’s check is mailed. If a scholarship winner has not enrolled in a college, university or trade school within 12 months of the fall of 2019, the scholarship will be forfeited.
