Youth Livestock Show 62nd Annual Brazos County
March 18, 2018 | 9
A note from BCYLS 2017 Queen Howdy! As the 2017 BCYLS Queen it is my privilege to announce that the 62nd Annual Brazos County Youth Livestock Show is soon approaching! On behalf of all our hardworking 4-H and FFA members, I would like to encourage everyone from the community to support the youth. This week of activities starts on Saturday, March 17 at 8 p.m. with the Queen's Dance, where we will dance to the music of the Bellamy Brothers and crown the new 2018 BCYLS Queen! Next, livestock shows will begin Tuesday, March 20 through Friday, March 23. And lastly, the Premium Auction will take place Saturday, March 24 at 6 p.m. Throughout this week exhibitors will be able to showcase their knowledge and skills that they have gained over this past year. Exhibitors projects range from Ag Mechanics, Food Consumer Sciences, and showing livestock. As a previous 4-H and FFA member I can recall all the feelings of excitement, pride, and determination each exhibitor experiences
as they walk into the show ring. It’s an amazing sight to see the sense of satisfaction each exhibitor possess once they walk out of the ring knowing all their hard work has finally paid off. At this time I would like to thank each sponsor, donor, and community member for investing in our future generation and in the the future of agriculture! Thanks to y’all ,the annual BCYLS is a continuous success. Additionally, I would like to thank each volunteer and parent for making the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show the best it can be! I can’t wait to see what the 62nd Annual BCYLS has in store for each us! Thank you for your love and support,
Alyssa Roach 2017 BCYLS Queen
