Sustainable The exterior is clad with a mix of durable complementary materials including Shadowclad and cedar and is integral to the design. Structural dimensions are specifically tailored to correspond with those of the Shadowclad sheet sizes thus addressing concerns of environmental footprint by minimising waste and reducing construction time.
Liveable Dwell Homes creates contemporary dwellings with subtle linear aspects in the design that utilise passive solar gain and offer enhanced customisation, energy efficiency and sustainability. After ten years creating unique architectural spaces for clients throughout Canterbury, Dwell Homes’ QUBE modular is now completed, open to visitors and proves that ‘small is beautiful’.
Affordable A compact and energy efficient house permeated by a sense of luxury in spite of its size the new Dwell show home demonstrates contemporary style and clean, sophisticated lines on a narrow 465m2 section of TC3 land in Edgeware. Characterised as much by its use of natural materials and an abundance of natural light as by its size, the contemporary design offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, living and dining space that spills out to an expansive decked area via 9 metres of sliding glass doors.
Enduring The design utilises a number of natural materials in the construction including cedar and ply, with FSC approved timber floors and generous glazing for energy efficiency and warmth and provides an ideal living environment within contemporary trends. Interior spaces offer tactile appeal within a neutral colour palette and are a natural response to the use of timber as the dominant material. Working in collaboration with architect, client and interior designer Dwell Homes produces individual contemporary designs that are both site specific and client specific.
Innovative The interior footprint is a mere 155m2 - architectural detailing, full height windows and refined interior finishes add to the illusion of space. Rooms are finished with crisp white walls and create functional spaces that maximise comfort.
