Sustainable Energy Plus Homes presents our Fovant design, a superior build which is extremely energy efficient. The building system uses structurally insulated panels made from non-toxic Magnesium Oxide creating an airtight, hypoallergenic envelope. Additional design features include high performance windows and a fully insulated concrete slab. Results from our blower door testing proved airtightness levels to Passive House standards. A ventilation system maintains perfect air quality and our air to water heat pump provides hot water and underfloor heating. So far this autumn we haven’t used our heating system as our internal temperature throughout the house has averaged 21 degrees, losing only 1 degree at night. Solar power is the key source of energy with passive solar orientation helping to maintain the warmth and comfort of our home.

Our innovative landscape design uses a carefully controlled amount of water to maintain a beautiful outside space sustaining fruit trees and plants which attract birds, bees and butterflies.
Liveable The Fovant has a very spacious feel for the size of the footprint and is an ideal design for urban living, in the heart of the community and able to access local amenities on foot, by bike or public transport. Our building system of SIPS panels provides a perfect hypoallergenic environment which is mould free and insect resistant creating a healthy living space. This is particularly relevant for asthma and allergy sufferers as well as all those who would gain health benefits from a constant level of warmth and comfort throughout their home, at all times of the year. The Fovant enjoys perfect air quality and World Health Organisation recommended constant temperature levels of 18+ degrees, just by solar gain. We believe that all New Zealanders deserve this standard of living.
