Mum’s The Word 2 is a brand-new version of the original hit show detailing the comedic horrors of rearing young children. Mum’s the Word 2 is updated to include the horrors of rearing and living with teenagers!

The Nutcracker Sun 14 February | 7:30pm | £16 / £12 It is the Christmas party in the Stahlbaum household and the young Clara is given a beautiful Nutcracker doll. After everyone has gone to bed and the house is quiet, Clara returns to be with her Nutcracker doll and discovers that he can take her on magical adventures through the land of the Mouse King, dancing snowflakes and the wonderful land of sweets. This magical seasonal classic is brought to the Beacon Arts Centre by the same creative team that produced Romeo & Juliet last year.

Fri 26 February | 7:30pm | £10 / £8 Suitable for 14+ Devised and performed by Amy Conway Devised and directed by Victoria Beesley When Amy’s grandma turned 30, she had three children and was thankful to finally live in a house with an indoor toilet. When Amy’s mum turned 30, she had a profession, a mortgage and was pregnant with her first child. Amy just turned 30. She’s single, chancing it, and certain about exactly nothing.

Beacon Arts Centre is forming a new Beacon Young Company for young people aged 16 - 21 interested in pursuing further learning and development in performance and theatre production. The group will have the opportunity to participate and perform in National Theatre of Scotland’s, Exchange 2016. Classes every Thursday 5 – 7pm 14 January – 24 March 12 week block £60 Beacon Youth Dance Company is a creatively adventurous dance performance group of 20 participants from 14 - 21 years. Company members get a chance to learn exciting performance skills, expand their choreographic talents and have fun meeting and performing with other young people. It provides an opportunity for those who are considering continuing an education in dance.
