1. Cut a piece of tigertail to the necklace length you require and add an extra 4 inches so you can tie the tigertail onto your clasp. Tie the tigertail to one end of the clasp, pulling it tight and tie a couple of extra knots for strength then add a blob of nail varnish. Then start by adding a rose gold 8mm bead to cover the knot. 2. Begin to add a brown goldstone bead then a medium gold/topaz bead and continue as shown for 5 inches. 3. Then start using the large gold/topaz beads until you are 5 inches from the necklace length that you require. 4. Once you have completed the middle large bead section follow Step 2 of the medium gold/topaz beads and tie the tigertail to the remaining piece of your clasp (See step 1). 5. Using 2 arm spans of the KO brown thread, tie this onto your tigertail before the middle large bead section on the necklace. Do several knots and use a spot of nail varnish to strengthen it. 6. Using your KO thread put the needle through the first goldstone and large gold/topaz bead, then add 5 x size 11 seed beads, 1 x4mm round and another 5 x size 11 seed beads. At this point you can decide whether to follow the pattern for this necklace as shown or choose your own pattern of the colours. 7. Once you have threaded the seed beads and 4mm bead on your needle pass back through the goldstone and topaz bead. Repeat the same seed bead and 4mm bead section again, so you should have a row either side of your two large beads. 8. Then thread through the next goldstone (only one bead this time) and repeat the seed bead process. Continue to do this all the way along your middle large bead section of the necklace. 9. Once you reach the end of your middle section, tie a few knots onto your tigertail and add a spot of nail varnish, then weave the remaining thread through the necklace. Now you have finished. Earrings - 1. Using an arm span of KO thread, string on 1x goldstone, 1x topaz, 1x goldstone, 1x topaz, 1x goldstone and 1x seed bead, ensure you leave a 6 inch tail. Thread back through the large beads, leaving out the seed bead as this becomes your stopper. 2. Then thread on 8x seed beads, go through the large beads and single seed bead, then up and out of the second large bead from the bottom. 3. Now add your 5x seed beads, 1x 4mm bead and 5x seed beads and follow Steps 6 and 7 of the necklace until you have reached the top. Tie off the thread and use a spot of nail varnish and weave the remaining thread through the earring piece. 4. Add your earring hook through the size 11 seed bead loop to complete your earrings.

These beautiful blue tones are a stunning addition to any simple beaded bracelet, embroidered collar or cuff. If you're looking to start embellishing your own accessories, starting with small, subtle beads is a great way to get a feel for your style of sewing. Why not take a simple black shirt or a plain dress and try sewing bright beads along the collar or neckline? Try choosing the smallest sized fire polished beads and then match them with tiny seed beads to emphasise their colour and unique faceted cut.
An even easier way to add some sparkle to your accessories and clothing is to use Hotfix crystals from our Swarovski range and a Hotfix tool to apply them! Find out more about the amazing Hotfix tools and some of the stunning colour options available on page 10.
SEE ALL FIRE POLISH BEADS >> The Wintery tones in these fire polished beads are perfect for wearing over the party season and any jewellery made with them can be re-worn next Spring and Summer as blue reflects the blue skies and tones associated with tropical holidays.

Hotfix There are two different Hotfix applicators to choose from! The Vacuum Applicator Heat Tool for SS6SS20 Hotfix Crystals is the cordless option that assists in picking up the crystals with its vacuum suction that is controlled by a button above the nozzle. This applicator has an in-built light for accurate positioning in low-light conditions and can be used with smaller crystals from 1.9mm-4.9mm. If you need a tool that matches larger sized hotfix crystals, the Hotfix Pro Touch Applicator Heat Tool for SS12-SS34 comes with 7 different applicator heads for crystals that measure 2mm-7mm. To use your Hotfix Pro Touch tool, simply place your crystals onto the fabric or surface you want to apply them to and carefully hold the applicator on top of it, pressing for about 15 seconds. We love planning out our designs on the surface by placing all the crystals in and then securing them one by one with the tool!

This bracelet consists of a square stitch base, embellished with a simple criss-cross pattern and semi-precious stones and crystals. Make the band: With a comfortable length of thread, tie a stop bead at the end, leaving a 20cm tail. Pick up 4 cube beads (alternating between the 2 colours) and push them down the thread, snug against the stop bead. Pass the thread back through the third bead and then back up again through the fourth bead. Pick up a cube bead and pass back through the second bead and then back up again through the bead just picked up. Pick up another cube bead and pass back through the first bead and back up again through the bead just picked up. Pass the needle through the whole first row, and up through the second row so you come out the bead you last added. This is to align the rows and keep them straight. Do it after you add each new row. Repeat, alternating between the 2 different colours of cube beads until you reach your desired length. The total number of rows should be a multiple of 3 to allow for the criss-cross pattern to be added later. If you have difficulty ending with a multiple of 3, make the bracelet smaller than usual as you will be able to add extra length with the clasp. Add the clasp: Select a semi-precious stone to be the toggle of your clasp. Remove your stop bead and with your tail thread exiting one corner cube bead, thread on enough size 15 seed beads to loop around your selected semi-precious stone. Go through the opposite side of the band to form a loop on one end of the band. Test to ensure you have the right fit for the semi-precious stone. Reinforce a few times and secure thread end. On the other end of the band, with your thread exiting one corner cube bead, string on a certain number size 15 seed beads, the selected semi-precious stone, the same number of size 15 seed beads and go back through the opposite side of the band. (This is where you can adjust the length of the bracelet by adding the right number of size 15 seed beads accordingly.) You can embellish the toggle here by adding a second strand of size 15 seed beads. Reinforce and secure your thread ends. Add the criss-cross pattern: With your thread exiting on end of the band, thread on 7 size 8 seed beads. Go through the 3rd cube bead on the opposite side, forming a small diagonal across your band. Weave your thread such that it is coming out from the 5th cube bead on the same side you started from to start the next diagonal. Repeat across the whole band. Check that your thread is entering and exiting only 1 colour of cube beads to ensure you get the disagonals in the right places. When you reach the end of the band, weave your thread to exit on the opposite side of the band to start making the other side of the criss-cross. Thread 3 size 8 beads, go through the 4th size 8 bead in the diagonal already made. Pick up another 3 size 8 beads, and go through the corresponding cube bead. This should form a criss-cross made up of size 8 seed beads on your band. Repeat across the whole band. Secure your thread ends. Embellish your bracelet: Select your desired number of semi-precious stones and add them to the band in a random style. Do use the size 8 seed beads as anchor points if desired. Repeat the same with your desired number of Swarovski crystals.

Step 1. Take a 3 metre length of gold wire and roughly curl one end over so your beads won't fall off after you've threaded them on. Step 2. Take your pack of seed beads and thread them randomly on to your wire. We recommend threading on all of your mixed bead pack so you get the fullest wrapped bangle, but you can always take some off if you want to. Mix some of your plain silver or black beads into this as well. Step 3. Once you've threaded all of your beads onto the wire, start at one side of your bangle and tightly create 5 wraps around one side, towards the outside of your bangle, so you will wrap over this wire to hide it. This small wrapped section should be approx. 2cm from one end of your bangle so that it doesn't slide off the end. You can always add a drop of glue or clear nail polish here if the end starts to move and fall off the end. Make sure to wrap tightly to avoid this movement happening. Step 4. Bring the wire down to the other side of the bangle, and thread up enough beads to fill the gap on the outside. Tightly bring a clean section of wire up the back of the bangle and over the top. Repeat by threading a few beads up to the wire and fill the gap on the front of the bangle. Wrap around the back again, leaving this wire with no beads on it. If you want to make a really full bangle, try adding even more beads from your bead stash that match your selection. Then you can add beads on the back and front of the design! Step 5. Continue to wrap around the bangle. You can add a couple of small wraps like you did at the beginning if you want to secure them further in place as you go along the design. Step 6. Once you have added all of the beads or think you are going to run out of wire, create a final wrap and thread the end of the wire back between the last two beaded sections. Wrap this end tightly a couple of times along this side of the bangle. Thread a little further along the bangle to hide these wraps and continue until you are confident it is secure. Trim off the excess wire as it is pointing towards the outside of the bangle, this way any sharp ends will be facing away from your wrist. Step 7. Spend some time adjusting the beads on your bangle so that they are spaced evenly apart and either end is approx. 2cm from the ends of the bangle.
