STEP 1. Pick up 6 pip beads and 6 seed beads in alternating order, starting with a pip bead. STEP 2. Form a circle by passing through all the beads again, continuing on into the next seed bead. STEP 3. Pick up 17 seed beads, and coming back on yourself, pass back through the pip bead, the seed bead and on through the next pip and seed bead. STEP 4. When you have added the 5th petal, sew through as before, but continue on into the first 3 seed beads of the first petal you added. STEP 5. Pick up 11 seed beads and pass back through the last 3 seed beads of the previous (5th) petal. You now have finished your first flower. Sew through some beads and fasten off your thread. Repeat all steps to create 2 more flowers. STEP 6. Using co-ordinating jump rings, connect the flowers together as shown in the image. Alternatively, you can make small rings of seed beads to connect the flowers together for a more decorative finish. STEP 7. To make the necklace chain, cut a new length of thread and thread on groups of 15 seed beads and pearls inbetween them until this side of the necklace is long enough. This will be one of the straps, we made ours approx 7 inches long. Thread on another 15 seed beads after the last pearl and loop around and pass back through the first seed bead here. This will make the small loop for one half of your toggle clasp. Thread this back into the beads and out the other end of the seed beads. At this end, thread on a final pearl and make a loop of approx. 12 seed beads, looping through one of the petals on your flowers. Thread back up into the strap and secure the threads using knots. STEP 8. To make the other side of the toggle clasp, on a separate piece of thread, pick up 1 seed bead, 4 pearls and 1 seed bead. Skipping the last seed bead you added, pass back through the 4 pearls and the seed bead. Skip this seed bead again and thread through 2 of the pearls, exiting the middle of the 'bar'. Pick up 7 or 8 seed beads and wrap around the gap between the 2nd and 3rd pearl. Sew around this loop again to keep it in place between the pearls. Repeat the process as you did for the other strap on the necklace and add 15 seed beads in groups between pearls and connect this to the other side of your flowers to complete your necklace.

Step 1. Thread a needle with 50cm of beading thread. String the following beads: seed, pellet, seed, pellet, seed, pellet, seed, pellet. Go through all the beads again drawing them into a ring. Finish by passing through the first seed bead. Step 2. Pull tight so that the pellets are all standing up with the flat side facing you. Tie both strands together in a knot to secure the ring of beads. At this point you might like to weave the short end around the ring a little so that it doesn’t get tangled as you work the next steps. Step 3. Pick up 5 seed beads and go through the next seed bead around the ring. When you pull tight the seed beads will sit around groove in the pellet. Step 4. Repeat adding 5 seed beads around each pellet in turn. Finish by going through the first seed bead from step 1. Step 5. Now you can shape the rounded corners into points by passing through all the seed beads again, skipping the middle bead of each group of five. Go through first two seed beads of the five that are around the next pellet. When you pull the thread through take care that it doesn’t catch on the corners of the bead work. Step 6. Skipping the third bead and go through the fourth one. As you pull tight the third seed bead will be forced into a point. Continue passing through each seed bead in turn, missing out the middle bead of the groups of five around the pellets to form the point. Step 7. Secure your thread around your diamond shape and trim away. Make a total of 10 diamond shapes to make the centre part of your necklace. Take a new length of thread and join them together by threading out of a point, add seed bead, thread through the point of a second diamond shape, add one more seed bead and thread back through the point of the first diamond. This creates the little cross shape between each diamond on the necklace. Continue to thread through this new diamond to the other side and repeat until you have attached all the diamonds together. Step 8. Once all 10 are attached, secure this thread within the diamonds and trim away once you are happy they won't unravel. Step 9. Take a new length of thread thread your clasp to the centre point. Thread 2 seed beads onto either side of the thread and pass both threads through a single seed bead. Add 1 seed bead onto each strand and pass both through 1 seed bead. Add 1 seed bead onto each strand again and pass both through a single seed bead. Continue with this pattern to make the strap as long as you like. Once you have finished, pass both threads into your length of connected diamond shapes and weave the threads into the beadwork to secure them. Continue to weave and knot along the way until you are happy your strap is secure and won't come apart. Repeat this for the other side of your necklace and add the other side of your clasp. Why not make these super cute matching earrings with just a loop of seed bead above the diamond?

STEP 1. Thread a needle onto an armspan of beading thread and add a stopper bead 20cm from the end. Make sure you don't spear the thread as you won't be able to remove it later. STEP 2. String twin hole beads alternating with seed beads, beginning and ending with a twin. There's no need to count at this stage, just string a length 18cm long. You'll be able to add or remove beads when you add the second row of twins. STEP 3. Push all the beads up against the stop bead. Sew through the second hole of the last twin bead and then through the next two. Don't add any seed beads. STEP 4. Pick up 1 seed bead, 3 twins & 1 seed bead. Sew through the second hole of the next twin. STEP 5. Sew through the second hole of the next two twins. Don’t add any seed beads. Continue by repeating steps 4 & 5 until you’re a few beads from the end. Everything will be a bit loose at the moment, just make sure that the thread going through the new groups of three twin beads doesn’t get twisted. STEP 6. Push the beads along to remove any slack and check to see if the length will fit you. As you’re probably making for someone else, ask them if you could borrow a favourite bracelet, so you have a guide as to the length required. Don’t forget to include the size of the clasp into the calculation. Make any adjustments by sliding off the stop bead. Finish so that you’re just sewing through a single twin as shown. STEP 7. Sew through the bottom hole of the twin you’re thread is coming out of then (for clarity the thread is shown loose. but you should keep tension in the thread). Continue along the bottom by sewing through the next seed bead and twin. Sew up through the second hole of this last twin. STEP 8. Sew though the next seed bead, 3 twins and next seed bead so that you come out at the end. Sew through the second hole of this last twin so you’re ready to add the final row of linking seed beads (as before the thread is shown loose, but you should pull the thread all the way through). STEP 9. Add a seed bead between all the twins. When you reach the end add a seed bead and a twin. Sew through the second hole of the twin and add another seed bead. Sew thorough the top hole of the bottom row of twins. Check that everything is looking neat then continue through the next two twins. Pull firmly. Weave through a couple of beads, knotting between them. Add dabs of glue to the knots. STEP 10. To add the clasp, add a new piece of thread or weave the existing one back to the end. Exit through the end seed bead in the middle. Pick up 5 seed beads, clasp and 4 seed beads. Sew through the first seed bead strung then through the seed bead on the bracelet going in the same direction as you came out. Weave the thread into the bracelet. For extra security sew around the twin beads in a circle so you can go up thorough the clasp seed bead again. Secure and trim. Add the other half of the clasp at the other end of the bracelet in exactly the same way.
