South Coast Property Specialists (Carlene Franzen) Tips: Online Lodgement of Development Applications via NSW Planning Portal to be Mandatory From 1 July 2021 The Eurobodalla Shire Council has advised that from 1 July 2021, the NSW Government is making the online lodgement of certain applications, such as development applications and post -consent certificates, mandatory. Post-consent certificates are those certificates that may be required for building works and/or subdivision works after a development consent has been issued. These can include construction certificates, subdivision certificates and occupation certificates. From this date, you will be required to submit your applications and supporting documentation via the NSW Planning Portal.
As 1 July 2021 is fast approaching, you will need to take into consideration the time it may take for you to prepare your application and address any pre-lodgment requirements before you are ready to submit. Please note that from 1 July 2021, Council can no longer accept any applications in hard copy format or via Council’s ePlanning online system or email.
Council is strongly encouraging all industry experts to subscribe to their builders and developer’s newsletter. When you subscribe to the industry newsletter, you will receive regular planning reform updates about the approaching mandatory online lodgement process. You will also find a list of the applications that are required to be lodged via the Planning Portal.
